This critique of the general American response to the crisis in Georgia was published in the right-wing newspaper The Washington Times, interestingly enough.

    • Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. The attackers were Saudi Arabians and we did not lift a finger. Read
"House of Bush, House of Saud." It explains how far the relationship goes between the Bushes and the Saudis.
Also McCain says he knows how to win wars. What war has he won? The only war he was involved in he got shot down and we had to retreat.

McCain doesn't even know the difference between Sunni and Shia. The guy is a loose canon who wants to fight another war to redeem himself from his shame at selling us out in the prison camps.

    • cujo88, I haven't forgotten that the attackers were Saudis. So tell me why we attacked Iraq? I haven't forgotten that when we attacked Iraq that nation, that was supposed to have all those weapons of mass destruction only fired thirteen missiles. Saddam knew Bush wanted him dead. He would have fired everything he had, and he did. Why hasn't Bush caught bin Laudin? Because the bin Laudins and the Bush family are pals. Have been for years.Hang around read and learn. You will get some truth that you haven't been getting in the mass media. You don't believe in global warming? So tell me what happened to Glacier National Park? It melted! Will you believe when the ocean is lapping at your door? What don't you buy about gay lesbians? They are here, they were born that way. You don't have to be one. They deserve the same human rights as anyone else. No one cares what kind of car you drive. When gas is twenty-five dollars a gallon good luck. Don't want solar panels on your house that's okay same as the car. Don't whatever you do act responsibly.

We don't know that it was Saudis, Marilynn_Murray, we were told it was. Now, seeing as seven or eight of the alleged 9/11 terrorists are alive and well, and seeing that even the FBI admitted that they had no evidence linking Bin Laden or the alleged terrorists to 9/11, it is pretty obvious who really was behind 9/11.

    • yo symn8,

have you forgotten 9/11? Obama would not do a thing to protect this country, he is a facist elitus. Do you want to have to be "dependent" on your govt. for everything. The Dems are all about "BIG GOVT and BIG SPENDING" and controlling your life!. Here's a little insight as to how I believe and what I stand for. I am no tree hugger, I don't believe in global warming. I believe that this Earth has cycles just like we have "seasons". And personally, I don't need for our govt. to tell me how I need to live, what temp I should set my thermostat on, what kind of vehicle I ought to drive. I am a responsible adult and that is due to my parents and my own good choices in life. I don't believe in having someone cram their lifestyle down my throat, that is their business and between them and God but I do admit I don't buy into the "gay/lesbian" thing either. I personally am fed up with the "politically correct" stuff too. With this said, I do hope that I have not offended you as that is NOT my intent. This website is apparently a democratic/liberal one from what I am gathering so far. Don't know if I will stay on this site. I love my country and I would give my life to protect you or anyone else and to keep this country free. JMO (ssl)

I don't really know what you are talking about with Big Government and Big Spending...Hasn't this administration spent much more money than other democrat administration? I'm not saying that you are wrong in your obviously conservative beliefs, but I don't know how someone can be so hypocritical. We have no choices in the matter of going green or not the government is controlling that, gays and lesbians are being controlled by their government by not being allowed the same freedoms as straights. I would like to say that you are being insulting when you say that you are proud to be American, as if liberals aren't, because shouldn't it be obvious based on the force of these people that they are in fact proud to be America just by caring about how it's run?

Cujo88, get real. Who was president when we were attacked on 9/11? In case you've forgotten it was George W. Bush. Did he protect us?? Oh wait, I forgot, it was Bill Clinton's fault even though he had left office 9 months earlier. As far as Big Government and big spending is concerned try this on for size. When "W "was selected president the national debt, accumulated by all prior US presidents, was around 5 trillion dollars. Now it's 10 trillion dollars. Bush ran the national debt up as much as all the other US presidents COMBINED in just eight years!! Controlling your life? Have you been to the airport in the last eight years? Are you aware that EVERY phone call you make, your most personal and intimate conversations are all the property of the US government. The government has access to the library books you take out, your bank records, your credit card transactions, your snail mail, your email, the websites you go to, your medical records and are using spy satellites to look at you. Do you feel controlled now? Don't blame Obama or any democrat. These were all policies instituted by Bush. As far as being dependent on government, how are you dependent? I'm certainly not. The only things I get from government are what I pay for with my taxes. Nothing else. As far as driving your SUV, knock yourself out but don't get miffed when people think your stupid for spending 80 to 100 dollars to fill your gas tank when buying a more fuel efficient vehicle could say you thousands of dollar per year. Don't believe in global warming is being exascerbated by humans? Doesn't really matter, it's still happening no matter what you believe.
One final point, if you come to a "democratic/liberal" website and then call the democratic nominee for president a "facist elitus" (spelled "fascist elitist" by the way) don't expect not to get any flak over it. The fact is George W. Bush's administration fits the textbook definition of fascist and God knows they and their corporate cronies certainly are elistist. How do you not get that? Anyway, your opinions are welcome here, just don't expect to win over any converts. Peace.

    • I was upset when I watched the Olympics, and the "Today we are all Georgians" speech came out, because I knew the Georgians weren't looking for moral support. They were the "facta non verba" type, and we failed to deliver.
I understand we are in another war already, but still offer them something.

You should volunteer for the army. By the way Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Obama has said repeatedly that he would not hesitate to use force if diplomacy failed, but he would only use force in places that actually attacked us!
McCain wants more wars and if he was in charge we would be heading back to nam, fighting Russia and China. McCain is an idiot with no foreign policy experience besides selling out his country in a prison camp.

    • I trust John McCain a whole lot more with foreign issues than I trust Barack HUSSAIN Obama. Obama is just not qualified to be our next president. He has to many unanswered question, too many shady dealings with very questionable people (Wm. Ayers, Rv. Wright, Mr. Rezo, the list does not end). I do not trust Obama on anything, whether he wants to accept it or not or others want to actually admit it or not...Obama is a scary choice to make.

look up McCain's position and votes on foreign policy . McCain mentality on foreign relations is mostly focused on what the united states was when it was the sole dominant power in the world stage. we have the power and the might to do with anything we want. but we have to be diplomatic with all nations not aggressive and gun hoe like bush.

It is not "HUSSAIN" - if you're going to emphasize his middle name, at least learn how to spell it correctly. Your trying to make it look as if he is a Muslim doesn't convince anyone here, by the way.

    • I think if John McCain gets elected for president based on his words and his attitude and votes for pretty much most of his career as a senator would lead to harsh relations with Russia and China. In a time when we need to be careful and diplomatic with these countries , he speaks of isolation. if that isn't bad foreign policy I don't know what is.

    • I love the way that this guy says he's the candidate with foreign policy experience and yet according to him , he will alienate China ,Russia etc . this countries have major leverage in most of the world's trade and peace relations. he's foreign policy ideal would've worked 20 years ago when the united states was the only nation that had major influence over everything.
