This is the legacy neo-cons have given us.
They place dick-waving contests on a higher priority than your safety.
Do you still want to vote for McCain?

If you dont wave your dick every now and again, someone will get the crazy idea to come by and kick you in the balls.
Like what happened on Dec.7th 1941 and Sept. 11th 2001.
That being said you also need to know when, where and how to wave that dick around to avoid getting it stomped by someone with a bigger dick.

You are aware that 9/11 was caused by a dickwaving contest with Russia in Afghanistan right?
I also hope you're aware that the Japanese were batshit insane in that time and the U.S. was itching to go to war anyway.
America does not have a bloodlust deficit. We have an overwhelming surplus of the desire to watch people blow up.
I'm not denying the importance of geopolitical power, I'm against these dickless conservatives playing around with all of our lives because they want to look tough to win elections. Last time I checked, that was not an intelligent use of our bloated military and espionage power.
Do you wanna know what war a crazy liberal like me would support?
A war with Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Fucking blow those countries away. They're not our allies. Both FUND terrorism and one of them is holding Bin Laden, if he's still alive.

I wouldnt say that 9/11 was caused by it but I will not deny that we did lay the groundwork for it. Had we treated the Mujahideen with the respect and support that we promised them maybe we wouldnt have the issues that we have now probably not but maybe....
Since we are going to argue semantics you do realize that the dick waving we did in Afganistan is a direct result of the dick waving that the Russians did in Viet Nam and Korea. If you really want to revisit history we can then try to figure out who started waving their dick first during WWII. Chances are that both sides are guilty ... but then again thats what countries do. Before the US and Russia it was Germany and ... well anyone they could wave it at. Before them it was England & France (a few times) Then England and Spain... and so on and so forth.
Basically as long as there have been humans on this earth to wave dicks around there have been people getting killed because of it.
While you are bringing up "dickless" conservatives, I will bring up Obama and his ignorant stance on shifting the war into Afganistan. Any type of large scale operation in Afganistan is untenable and not sustainable without having heavy support from Pakistan I replied to another person on this very issue in another thread explaining the reasons why... I'll look for it and send it to you ... I think that it was in that "Muslim Massacre" post.
As far as the Japanese your assessment that they were batshit insane is just plain wrong. They had a very sound strategic plan and they implemented it nearly flawlessly. Their biggest error was not sinking the US carriers. Because of this Pearl harbor is called their greatest tactical success but also their worst strategic defeat. Had they been able to catch the carriers along with the battleships it would have given them at least 2 years of unopposed access to the Pacific. And it wasnt the US that was itching to get in the war it was Europe that wanted us there. Then again if we hadnt gotten into WWII the world would be a much different place.
BTW... I completely agree with you about Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. If I had my way I'd say we just glass both countries using B2's and let the UN try to figure out what happened. - 3 years ago

Man, something about Soviet bombers... they were just built to be scarier-looking than U.S. planes.
Check out the Tu-95, code-named "the Bear." I mean, it looks like the kind of plane that Sauron would fly.

yea, it just seems that throughout the history of the developed world the leaders of countries have had ball swinging contests. It's like my country can kick your country's ass. Fortunately with the current worldwide economy and it is getting more international, a large scale world is going to be bad for everyone, not just with the loss of life but also financially. But then major international corporations are gonna start controlling politics and make sure the countries they operate in are allies. People with power always want more even if they can't properly handle the power they have.

oh and i think the best solution for modern warfare would be to have a small elite fighting force of 1000 men at most. In order to declare war you would have to challenge the leader of the other nation to a duel and fight it out old school. Then terms would be drawn up for what you were fighting for and the small fighting forces could duke it out. Whoever gives up first concedes to the other side. Less casualties, same result. Maybe in 2050 "wars" will be like a roller ball thing. That'd be sweet.

Hey, the rest of the world also wants to get inn on this politics of fear, there’s a lot of money to be made, right? Look at Halliburton, KBR, GE, Blackwater, DynCorp International, AriScan, Defion Int., Defense Security, ITT Corp., Military Professional Resources Inc., MVM Inc., Northbridge Services Group, Northrop Grumman, Paratus World Wide Protection, Raytheon, Revomatica, SCG International Risk, Sharp End International, Titan Corp., Triple Canopy Inc., Vinnaell Corp., Pathfinder Security Services. These are just a few of the contractors operating in Iraq, also, every major U.S. oil company will get a piece of the Iraqi oil fields. What else? Ohh…if your not sure what Im talking about you need to understand the Military-industrial complex and how this works. That’s what elevated the cold war, fortunately Russia ran out of money and couldn’t keep up with us in the arms race so their economy fell and we won. We expect other nations to listen to us now, after we ignored the UN, insisted that Iraq was an imminent threat with our own fabricated Intelligence, and now that the truth has come out we still can’t face the world and say WE WERE WRONG. Now we ask these other nations to listen to us???? we are a F@## joke, excuse me, the far right is a F#@ joke.

here's the thing, US and Russia have been hedging on their cold war terms again, but it will take a climax of reactions to really throw us back. do we need to be back in that place again as far as foreign relations go? maybe we will know in november which way we sway with Russia, because you know McCain will be unwilling to toe a diplomatic line in this situation. his business partners are already making a fortune off of the violence in Ossetia in Georgia.

Seriously though what right does America have to be a fucking superpower anyway? One or two or three nations or unions should not be allowed to tell everyone else how it is. Maybe Russia is just trying to beat them at their own game, but maybe, just maybe, nations like Venezuela and Russia are attempting to balance power across the world. If we have a base is Poland, they get one in South America. What's so horrible about that? (And yes I would take everyone's guns and bombs away from them if I could but if we insist on blowing each other up, everyone should get a fair shot...)

Chavez is no dummy, he will not cross the line. However the Bushies had been provoking this situation with the notorious Plan Colombia (on the Venezuelan side) and planting missiles in europe towards the Russians. However, Vzla provides 15% of the oil imports in the US. 15% that if it stops tomorrow will bring the economy to a halt, and here they know that.

I hope your right vladbox but there is one thing to consider. We in the US are not the only ones watching as our finances start to crumble out from underneath us. If they really wanted to return the favor of busting their( the Soviet Empire's)economy with our lunatic military build-up,what better time than now?Can you imagine the havoc a military build-up would cause right now?I mean sure, it would be great in the short term for Haliburton,Boeing, et all. But $100's of billions more extracted from our economy? On top of the debacles in Iraq and Afghanistan??!! HOLY SHNIEKIES!!
And if your wondering where they would get the funds remember they have HUGE natural resource reserves. Don't take this situation to lightly!!

Some of the major "news" outlets are saying these two bombers are a part of "joint military exercises between Russian and Venezuelan forces."
Of particular concern to a Russian-Venezuelan alliance is a possible invasion from Guyana.

If you know history you know that Bush tried to strong arm Chavez while senior Bush was president, the conversations was sort of "My name is George Bush" Chavez said I don't care who you are. Bush wanted to put a pipeline in Chavez;s country. This is Chavez's answer to Bush and Co. Maybe if Bush ever gets the chance to try to threaten someone else he will think twice. He is getting paid back for his greed and America and its people are paying for it. He has made an enemy of most of the civilized world leaders and America and its people amd its image are paying dearly for this total failure of a president.
