The Dover to Calais Channel Tunnel has reportedly been closed in both directions following a fire that is believed to have broken out around 1300 GMT.

The fire is thought to have started on a freight train about 7 miles from the French station, all 32 passengers on the train were evacuated, but reports say 14 have suffered minor injuries.

Update: 21:53 GMT
Firefighters are still trying to get the blaze under control which is believed to have been caused by a truck carrying carbolic acid.
