I've only been there once, and it wasn't a very nice experience. It was very grey (that it was a cloudy day probably didn't help).
Anyway, with expenses for everything going up, even a millionaire (billionaire?) will have to think thrice before buying an airport. If the current reasons for selling were due to costs, then good luck to the next investor.

Poor Gatwick Airport! I love it there (it's actually one of my favourite places to go - I don't care if that's odd) so I hope it will only get better, and not lose its exciting, going-off-on-adventures charm.

I bet BAA are not happy about it. Hopefully it will increase competition.
It would appear that Virgin Atlantic are interested (which would make me happy as I fly with them and Gatwick is nearer to my house!).
