Oh
Now you leave poor Sarah aloneShe's a sweet hard working mother who has a lot on her mind. I wish the liberal media could just leave her alone. Even though everybody else have had the same questions asked a million times.

They are not keeping Palin away from the media because of a double-standard. They are keeping her away from the media because of what she might say.
If you really want to focus on a double standard, why don't we look at the coverage of Jamey Lynn Spears and Palin's kid when it comes to unwed teen pregnancy.

Does Sarah Palin want to talk to the media?

Palin needs to talk to the media - if she doesn't I will not even consider voting for her.
But this tirade is very childish. It smacks of Bill Oreilly's tactics - If someone doens't give you an interview, insult and taunt them to frustrate them and bait them into coming on your show.
Its very immature and unprofessional. I expect better from CNN...
err... actually I don't.

There is something wrong with the Palin handlers. Either she is just a pretty face with a broken record neo-con message, or she is a viable candidate who needs to face the music.

Palin has not fielded ONE unscripted question to date.
Biden will rip her face off!! Then he can be a sexist, too.
I'm sure Vladimir Putin will go easy on her.

Brilliant call out. Part of CNN being annoyed they almost didn't get into those speed-dating sessions with Palin and the leaders.
Whacky Mac won't let Palin speak to reporters because she'll screw up. But if he doesn't, then the sexist behavior continues. HAHAHA! You're trapped Whacky Mac. Looks like your game changer, your political-first move backfired.
Later!

Sarah Palin is just another jackass the GOP has to keep on a short leash because of the inevitability of her being made to look like an idiot in front a group of reporters. Honestly, I don't believe she has the Republican talking points memorized well enough to withstand much pressure in a press conference.
Obviously, Campbell Brown is entitled to her opinion but I think it's just another way to try to goad the McCain camp into opening up and actually answering a few questions.

i agree with this.
they aren't protecting her from the reporters because she is a woman, though. it's because she lacks the experience and readiness to act like a leader.

OOOHHHHH, It's McCain that is being sexist. Well I was totally off base then, I thought claiming she faked her pregnancy was sexist. I public questions of whether she could handle duties with her autistic child and her teenage daughter was sexist. I thought calling her inexperienced and unqualified, especially considering the competition was sexist. Boy, did I miss that one.

vixen0078 - I felt the opposite! To me, it came across as a pretty crafty way to turn the Republican criticism of the press on it's head. The right has complained that the press is sexist, only talking about whether Palin can be a mother and VP, or about Bristol etc. etc. But now, here is a member of the press, essentially praising Palin and accussing the McCain camp of being sexist by not letting her speak to media.
If I had to guess, I would bet we won't hear as many accusations of a "sexist media" from the McCain crew. - 3 years ago

Campbell Brown dissapointed me with this!
The ban on the reporters isn't sexist. It's because
Sarah Palin is a jackass and the McCain Clan knows it. After all, Sarah Palin has stated before that she doesn't even know what the VP does! They are trying to keep her from making the same verbal mistakes again. If Sarah Palin didn't mind the way she is being treated by them, she could easily walk away from all of this. I hate it when people try to blame something on the sex of someone. Why couldn't Campbell Brown just point out the obvious?
