Bush and his cronies advocate that they like small government, but what they really like is big money flowing into their small government 'no bid contract' pockets. That way there is more to go around...the whole bunch of them are crimminal, to say the least...

No Child Left a Dime is more like it. It has turned the public education system into a nightmare for teachers and students alike. Highly qualified teachers are being required to go back to school and take more classes; spending even more money on higher education or taking classes at new computerized universities.
Talk about Pork Barrel spending, the NCLB law has resulted in some spending totally unrelated to education.
This shameful law was really intended to break the backs of what the Bush Administration considers to be Socialist Public School system, they favor "school choice" by way of home schooling and state funding to religious schools through vouchers. This would completely dismantle public education as we know it and result in the closing or taking over by charter schools, healthy thriving schools all across the country.

Because of Bush's No Child Left Behind bullshit, the gifted and talented program at my school got scrapped so the district could afford more personal assistants for the "special needs" students.
Thanks, Mr. Bush, for seeing to it that extraordinarily bright students like my little brother get to sit and rot so that everyone can be on the same level.

McSame would be reluctant to reverse any of bush's exec orders...instead, he'd probably ad a few of his own, like bomb bomb bomb Iran without due cause or due course of law...
Otherwise, it will be pure joy to see Obama reverse all of the dictator's orders W imposed on his subjects, while wiping his dirty feet on our constitution...

Just read through some of those orders, the next president should get rid of all of them.

Bill Moyers said this about Bush Sr.
"George Bush is the most deeply unprincipled man in American politics today. He strikes me as possessing no essential core. There is no fundamental line from which he will not retreat....I have watched him for almost 30 years and have never known him to take a stand except for political expediency."

Restoring the Constitution is the most act the incoming President can do. Eliminating the wire taping and eavesdropping, stop waterboarding and other tortures, abiding by the Geneva Convention, changing some of the rules in the Patriot Act if not eliminating it altogether. there is also talking to Foreign leaders not ignoring them cause you don't like them that day. And please a President who can pronounce NUCLEAR and one that can READ and SPEAK ENGLISH!!!

Excellent article.
But I'm not looking forward to after the election. That's when all the 11th-hour executive orders go through. Remember how Clinton broke Jimmy Carter's record in 2000-01? It made Bush look bad when he had to reverse all those orders. I bet he does the same if Obama wins.

I almost forgot all these scrapings of the constitution, Bush really covered his ass, for he knew what he was doing, and he learned from Nixon's mistakes.

Since Senator McCain may be that next president, maybe we should poll him on which of those orders he would reverse.
I'm sure the answers would be fascinating.
