We’re coming up on the anniversary of Edgar Allan Poe’s 1849 death, which is rather fitting since we’re coming up on Halloween. I know; Poe was more than the Cask of Amontillado, The Tell-Tale Heart and The Raven, but undoubtedly he is best known for his chilling tales. But I thought we’d delve a little deeper into Mr. Poe to celebrate his upcoming deathday. I somehow think he would prefer that people celebrated that instead of his birthday anyway. I'm not necessarily sure about that, seeing as his biggest fear was being buried alive, and he had a very difficult time dealing with his own eminent mortality (despite what one would believe from his works.) That said, I do think this is a great opportunity to remind everyone of all of his great texts and encourage us to read a piece we have never read before. Thank you for reminding us all!
