    • Wow and how are her and Todd going to win the hearts and minds of the Michigan natives? By sitting and drinking beer with them folks and going hunting?

Since when has a VP candidate openly disagreed with the Presidential candidate who she is supposed to be supporting? Last I checked, it was McCain/Palin'08 right? and not Palin/Palin'08.

To say that her gaffes are as a result of her inexperience is wreckless to say the least. Someone needs to tell this woman that she is running for the second highest position in the US and as a possible leader of a superpower and not the President of the Hockey Mom's League.

This is no game people! Seriously.

    • This is the arrogance that has turned all but die hard Republican women against her... she thinks that her and her husband (her husband? Is he running now?) can put on a cape, fly to Michigan, swoop down and "dontcha know" and wink her way into winning the state.

The Republican campiagn managers are absolute masters at running and winning campaigns. They got George W elected TWICE and have had a Repub Congress for nearly two decades. They, in their 200 plus years of running campaigns have decided that it is a lost cause, but Palin and her husband know better? This is exactly why women will not vote for her.

Arrogance in the face of her utter stupidity and incompetence. We finally get a woman running for such a high office, and all we get are insulting winks, folksy avoidance of questions and the media, and ignorant ramblings that show her obvious incompetence and lack of knowledge. She is an insult to women and all AMericans.

I say let her go to Michigan. I was born and raised there. It is the toughest state in America, entriely blue collar and earthy. Almost ALL the women there hunt and fish and camp! For real! Not from a helicopter!

It is the epicenter of the ravaged rust belt. Unemployment is twice the national average, the housing foreclosure rate leads the nation, the few remaining auto plants are heavily subsidised by the government already, and there is no plan at all to fix any of it.

Let super hockey mom and sidekick joe sixpack go there. Let them stroll into a local bar where large, angry, unemployed men are drinking the last of their money as they wonder how to feed their familes. Face them in the unemployment lines and the deserted downtown. Just try that down home style on those people.

If the Democrats were smart, they would goad her publicly into keeping her word. She would never be heard from again.

    • Megalomania is an unrealistic belief in one's superiority, grandiose abilities, and even omnipotence. It is characterized by a need for total power and control over others, and is marked by a lack of empathy for anything that is perceived as not feeding the self.

      The Palin/McCain Campaign.

    • SAYITSNOTSO:

      Agree with synclaire 100% here.

A lot of people criticize Democrats for being "pie in the sky" when it comes to domestic programs (I count myself among them), but this new breed of Republican Imperialists is sooo much more dangerous because they are "pie in the sky" when it comes to foreign policy issues, but it's not just money we are wasting now, it is the lives of people (both American and foreign) that are being spent in pursuit of ideological goals that are completely unrealistic.

Also, for SAYITSNOTSO: Pressing the "Caps Lock" key (located directly to the left of the "A" key) will allow you to type in lower case letters. The "Shift" key (located directly below the "Caps Lock" key) can then be used to capitalize specific letters where appropriate (such as at the beginning of a sentence, or the 1st letter of a proper noun).

    • Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight! First, McCain is actually relatively popular in Michigan. That's one thing. If he cuts and runs, it means that the RepubTards at the RNCC have already done the number crunching and a win isn't feasible. Secondly, who the frick is Palin? She's a beauty pageant with alot of wingnut, fundie-type beliefs. And thirdly, Alaska has the 4th smallest population in the whole country. Her husband might be a blue collar worker, but he also was in a party that supported secession from the US - the Palins might be helpful in states like Utah or Alabama. But I just don't see much of a crossover appeal for Palin, in Michigan. The main problem is that it's the multi-billionaire, rightwing-extremist RepubTards who have caused the problem--shipping good US jobs south of the border and overseas, just to save a few bucks. That's one thing. Also, Palin has the IQ of an Alaskan moose. She's learned how to regurgitate the dumb-a$$ "Bush doctrine," but "uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh," that hasn't worked yet. She simply doesn't have the base knowledge or experience to create any viable opinions. She basically won a popularity contest in Alaska. If she had won in a state where humans outnumber wild animals, I'd say that she should be taken seriously.

    • Now Todd Palin is on the McCain ticket? That's the ticket! Although several articles has claimed Todd is highly influential behind the scenes for the Governor. Note to Couric - get the interview with Todd lined up. For entertainment value on Palin check out http://www.palinomaly.com.

    • Amen and why would anyone in Michigan want to listen to her and "Todd"??? She has no clue what the economy is like for most of us-though she talks the talk she has not walked the walk in a long time-not when Todd made over 100 K a year-half working part time on the north slope! LOL!

      Sure wish we made that!
