People are connecting - There is hope!

With all the fear and uncertainty there is hope and action right now.

There are organizations who intimately understand the issues and there are others that are still entrenched in some kind of ism. It's up to you to choose the world we will inhabit and bequeath to our descendants. Bring consciousness to your choices. Question everything.

Loose the fear through understanding and knowledge.

Connect with the one thing that binds us all together. Life. All life. All living things.

There is an awakening to how connected we all are; not just by living on the one planet, but by shared experiences and compassion that comes from adversity. People everywhere are realizing that real peace starts in the heart of every person and spreads from there. The same can be said for hatred, bigotry and fear.

It's up to each of us to choose a better way forward and spread the word.

    • As a senior citizen, I have lived through many cycles of life. I was in school in 1963 when the first Black Americans were enrolled in all schools and we became a segregated nation. I became friends with one of the five students who were in my school there. Chosen for their high academic achievements to set an example for those who followed in their footsteps. Many times during the school term I would find my friend crying in the bathroom. It was so distressing for her to be one of five black americans in a school with hundreds of caucasion students. I was so proud of her and often wondered where she is today. Of course being raised in the deep south of middle Ga., I would be lying to say I was not influenced by prejudice. Over the years I have acquired many friends of all races and have adjusted my feelings to act in a Christain manner. In my adult life I no longer judge anyone by their race or gender, simply by their actions! I think this is the way we should all live our lives! I can now look at an outstanding Black American willing to take on the enormous burden created by the Bush Administration and do his best to get our country back on track. Yes of course he will definitely make mistakes in his duties, but everyone makes mistakes every day. With the help of America's citizens coming together with him and doing whatever we have to do to help regain the respect and honor Bush has destroyed, OBAMA can do it!
