"Have you noticed how [Palin's] rallies have begun to take on the characteristics of the last days of the Weimar Republic? In Florida, she asked 'Who is Barack Obama?' Hey, lady, we just met YOU five f-ing weeks ago."

That's so true, and nobody really seems to have picked up on it apart from Stewart; They can't criticise Obama for being an unknown when Palin is even more so.

Jon Stewart could walk into any campus or anywhere else probably but onto any University campus, he'd be a rockstar.
He's intelligent, funny. His show is great. And Colbert Report too. I've watched Colbert with some Republicans and I don't know which was funnier. Colbert's remarks or watching these guys who didn't realize Colbert was making fun of them.

Stewart is rightfully distrustful of all career politicians.
Why should he not be? Historically, they've all given ample cause.
For this election, he sees Palin as the best worst example.
No one can say that he's "Probama", either. - 3 years ago

Obviously is an issue of freedom of press and John Stewart has every right to say whatever he wants and remember he is a comedian. Even though what he said was true it should be taken as a joke, a man who is the star of of the Daily show that runs on the Comedy Central network (stress on the word comedy) it is his job to poke fun at political matters.
