Wolf: The coup is now!

uroborus8
Naomi Wolf warns us that the coup occurred on October 1, 2008 when the first brigade was brought to the United States from Iraq to turn their arms on us, the American citizens. 4000 troups are now under the direct control of George W. Bush. Their standing mission is to break up unrully mobs. This is just the beginning. Wolf's call to action is urgent. We are in an emergency. If we do not act now by insisting on the arrest of G.W. Bush and his cronies, we will suffer the end of democracy.

This video is a must see. Watch it, and pass it on. Act today.

Wolf references this video: Rep. Brad Sherman – threat of martial law (48 seconds)

    • I will say what I very rarely say. I do not wear my service on my sleeve because I don't think it is appropriate or particularly ethical to throw ones military service in the faces of others. People respect the military, and our fighting men and women, but very few respect anyone who actively seeks congratulations for their actions in life.

I also know that military members are only "connected" to those at or below their pay grade, example: Commanders don't call Master Seargents to clue them in on all the new classified info.

I cannot comment on the article itself, but I implore American Citizens to stay informed, and know your rights, the ones that still exist anyway.

      What are you talkin about?

Your commenting on a video about how the US is moving toward marshal law and your saying cars are the "#killer" and horse back riding is good?

Put down the left-handed cig and realize it is time to start getting angry.

    • It seems curious that this has fallen off of the front page when it now has 532 views. I didn't see it in the first 10 pages actually. I had to search for it this morning. I'm guessing more people than me have voted this up. Current people, I think the viewers believe this is important. Put it on the front page where it belongs.

    • AS FOR THE NAY SAYERS TAGGING CONSPIRACIES HIGH & LOW...

First they stole 2 elections… the first by perverting the supreme court…nothing happened…Then 9-11 & a war based on a 1000 lies & the treacherous hoisting of a CIA agent… nothing happened… they proceeded to shred the constitution, kidnapped imprisoned & tortured the world over, spied on all of us & fired the best US attorneys… nothing happened…conducted a thinly veiled ethic cleansing during Katrina…nada…now they are taking us to the cleaners…

      SO, RI-I-I-IGHT...THERE ISN'T A PROBLEM INDEED ;)

Get a third job ! Sell a vital organ ! Move in a card box by the river, but stop your whining buba ! You are but a victim of your own imagination, you suffer from a severe case of "mental recession"... Now get over it !

    • Yeah, this is such a joke. I looked, there are stories that only have a 100 views that are in the top 5. Naomi Wolf has 474 within 12 hrs. I've heard people say current.com is bogus, but now I've seen it myself.

It's supposed to be all about the viewers and what they want to see. That is until we like something that current doesn't want us to like, then the system doesn't matter anymore.

    • What's so funny about this is lets just say that this were true.

      1. Barack Obama would be well informed of it, and would be declaring in every speech of an impending police state which will result in him not being elected.

      2. Barack Obama would be part of the conspiracy, keeping quiet, and not exposing the truth.

As a military man I can assure you that there is no pending police state. There is no preparations being made right now to be able to accomplish this by November 4th. This is simple paranoia to make a few bucks.

And I thought President Bush was great at utilizing paranoia. He hasn't met Mrs. Wolf.

You honestly don't see this happening?

You can honestly just brush aside the fact that our liberties have been eroded for 8 years?

Or the fact that the US military is active on US soil for the first time since outlawed 200 years ago?

It really doesn't scare you that our Congress told us they were threatened with martial law?

Or even that one of the top stories today was a nun being labeled a terrorist?

Or H.R. 1955 the "Violent Radicalization Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act" that expands the definition of terrorist to easily include people born and raised in the United States?

Or what about the plan that President Reagan and GW Sr.came up with while they were in office under the code name REX 84 (read about it here - http://uweb.txstate.edu/~lf14/conspire/rex84.html), ever heard of it? If your a military man you might have because it deals with deploying troops into the US to round up "illegal immigrants" in the "state of domestic national emergency"? It also sets up detention camps all around the country to hold them in.

I respect your opinion (and your choice of sports team to support) and I will take it into consideration, but I will also say that Obama won't be in until January so Bush has until then to suspend the Constitution.

      Just think about it again.

    • Well dabne, I guess we have a different perspective. Urban police have already been militarized, the violence in the famous "Battle of Seattle" was police violence against peaceful activists. A few of the more extreme protesters broke windows but did not commit violence against people. The police did.

We are facing more than just one brigade of US military, we are facing Blackwater and militarized police as well, with Homeland Security coordinating. We are facing total citizen surveillance and new military weaponry for "non-lethal use".

It is happening all over the country, the DNC and the RNC are the most recent examples of police abuse. They were funded and organized by Homeland Security, which caused preemptive raids on journalists.

Anyone with a camera was arrested first.

I hope that you and other honorable members of the military and police will refuse to act against their fellow countrymen, it may be the only act that stops this.

If you can calm your laughter for a few minutes and listen again to Naomi's talk, I really think she is right to be afraid. She did extensive research before writing her book, and sites plenty of historical data as she presents her opinions.

Tell me, what are our constitutional protections now? I think she makes a reasonable argument that they have all been undone.

Check out this video from the RNC and DNC. It was made by Seattle film makers who went to the conventions to report on the events, at the RNC, they were arrested on the first day and had to get the footage from other filmmakers who shared. I thank these heros for the protests the corporate news did not allow us to see, I thank the heros who faced the guns of the police in order to report American news, I thank the military vets who led the impromptu unpermitted march of 5000 people protesting the DNC, also not allowed to be seen by corporate media.

I hope there will be more heros like these. We will not see them on television. We will see them in the streets.

I know that a military man like yourself might not feel a lot of compassion for the protesters who are taking this abuse, but what if somehow, its you, or your family, who is eventually incensed by marshal law? what if you wake up one day and its too late? I don't think you'll be laughing then.

To all those who say we should all go out and get guns, that people have guns, so we can't be overtaken by military. The first thing the Bush admin did after Katrina was to send in military to take away the people's guns. They will be using bigger guns than ours, of that we can be sure.

What is happening is a corporate takeover of democratic nations world wide. What will stop them is the people divesting of their goods. Buy from your neighbors, stop shopping, stop driving, talk, organize, and get ready to work together.

Fortunately for democracy, the corporations have already destroyed their own economic system, they will have more trouble controlling the people as the economic crisis deepens.

It's hilarious that you don't buy it.

I have several friends in the military who are scared shitless about this.

I have friends in the National Guard who say that they will rally the guard to fight against the feds if they declare martial law.

Well if you call traveling to fourteen countries, learning two foreign languages, developing personal relationships with several United States and foreign military leaders dumbing down and dehumanized, then I guess maybe I am.

However, I feel my military experience has given me a great deal of education regarding world politics, military strategy, and overall unique insight of world societies in general. I've highly enjoyed my experience.

The military is quite connected. I'd have heard from several different sources throughout the branches if this were true.

And to answer your question Christmas, "I would know." And if that answer is not good enough, just look at why Naomi Wolf is pushing this so hard. Oh yeah, she's selling a book called "The End of America." How timely for her pocket book. Use the election to create paranoia and sell your book. Nothing new here.

Naomi Wolf could quite possibly be trying to turn a profit on this issue. But there are a few others that state the same thing without trying to profit from it. Just a thought. The problem is that IT IS POSSIBLE. If they wanted to declare martial law and all that, they could. The law are in place. What would you need the laws for if you weren't going to do it?

And Vierotchka, I have to say that two foreign languages isn't mediocre compared to some Americans that still struggle with English. I'm just saying...two isn't bad when most people I know cant handle one.

You really are quite blinded by your position. Military troops have already been deployed in the United States. How do you not see that?

Not to mention that she repeats several times that her book is too late. The End of America was released a year ago and she says that what is in the new book, the one she is "promoting" in this video, is already too late. She gives you tons of information in this video and directs you to find up to date way to address the problem as well without buying anything. So watch the video again, try to listen this time, and kiss that theory goodbye.

Why would she try to promote it being too late to buy her book? And then tell us how to get BETTER information for free online. Just wondering...

Dabne, Thank You for your service and for allowing me to live Free. Now when you confront me on the streets after having been given your marching orders Please remember I like you am an American. Just as you have protected us abroad please remember you are to protect us here on American soil. One Man does not decides who is right and wrong. So when you march out please question "Are you damaging the American Name or are Promoting the Good Name". Pulling a trigger does not spread a Good Image. Mass round ups on American soil does not promote the Good Image of America. Just remember when you point your rifle you are pionting it at me.

    • ORGANIZE!!

Me and friends of mine are organizing a congress watch organization for our district.

We are organizing around 10 big issues that are wrong with the USA, and bird-dogging the candidates (and later representatives) when the are in DC and when they are back in their districts.

      You should do the same!

    • Not sure if this is absolutely true. If the pres was going to do this..he would use a private force (blackwater, TCCC, ect). In Iraq...the military is disconnected from news, but in the U.S. that is not the case. Also, the branch of the military that is responsible for martial law...the Marines and only the Marines. If they move one of those units in place we should be really concern. They are the most "brainwashed" of the branches. More to that, the Marines were the units that did the best at crowd control.

    • I agree with you, nufsenuf, but, after what happened during the RNC in St. Paul, it's become quite clear that it no longer matters if we're part of a peaceful demonstration.
The powers that want more power don't recognize protest, however peaceful, as anything other than an obstacle to their goal.
The new rule of law is, "Round them all up before we think they will do anything."
Prepare to go to jail for your beliefs because that's what it looks like we're in for.

Huntre, the last thing I want to do is go to jail at this point in my life - but I have to tell you that I will, especially if it comes down to a matter of basic freedoms - I love my country - I may joke about bailing if JSM and friends win, but as much as I might like to go, I really could not. I know that if those of us who feel so strongly about this place where we live, were to abandon it, we would only be postponing the inevitable. At some point, each of us will face a point of no return, in relationships, in life. Might as well make your stand, and go for it now, right now, where you are, otherwise, you will live again and perhaps regret what you did not do. As an old boss once said to me years ago "Do something, even if it's wrong" In other words, Action! No matter what, take Action!

I would urge you to avoid reading history books then. History shows that soldiers conditioned to follow orders will continue to follow orders, even when they are bad orders. Not because they are bad people, but because they are good soldiers, and good soldiers follow orders.

I agree, as Wolf says there are studies (most commonly know is the Zimbardo Study she mentions) back that soldiers will always do what they are told. And she's no slouch either, her books are packed with references and reasons backing up what she says. She did lots of research and it looks like she might be the only person who actually took "history repeats itself" and "learn from your mistakes" so seriously.

Even if Martial Law is declared what amount the of weapons in the hands of private citizens?

Especially in the hands of crinimal gangs? They don't follow the laws anyway so they would be even more predisposed to use those weapons.

More people would be inclined to join them and get eapons on the black market if they were physically threatened and their rights completely trampled on.

I know the people that have been driven by greed to grab more power and resources by profiting by crisises.

But are they REALLY ready for all out anarchy and gun battles in the streets? Do you actually think they are going to take that risk?

Naomi Wolf is a well respected journalist, she's courageous to speak out so boldly whilst other journalists continue to bite their tongues.

I also think this video clip is a significant part of the story, Peter DeFazio talks about how he was completely denied access to review the continuity of government plan after a national crisis. Check it out.

Also, this Presidential directive might be worth a read if you're interested in what Naomi Wolfe had to say.
