Joe the Plummer gets axed by Obama

GammySparkles
Hey hold on there. It's the Plummer' Obama and his campaign got it really wrong here. Obama went into Joes neighborhood and Joe asked a question. So what if Joe has a divorce, and owes 1200 to fed. He was asking about buying a business - and he does work for a licensed plumming firm. Everytime anyone disagrees or comments against Obama camp they whine, yell, scream, pull the race card, and get really militant. Don't we all have freedom of speech?

Obama went to his neighborhood. There was no plant and plan! It was a moment, and why cannot we ask Obama about finances! What was so wrong with a citizen asking a question. He had that right. His middle name is Joe. He is a plummer, and planning to work in his own company in the future!

    • Wow, are you insane?! Which candidate mentioned this guy 21 times during the debate? And it's somehow Obama's fault that he's the center of media attention now?

McCain supporters are really deluding themselves these days. It's fascinating to watch.

But, Joe had the right to ask Obama, and since Obama has spent two years comparing McCain to Bush, when McCain has served his nation faithfully, and many times against the party, and the president's views, it seems hypocritical!
When Obama Campaign uses falsehoods over and over it is ok, and when we protest, we are idiots.
      Love the double standard!

    • I thinks it's absolutely amazing that the Democrats would attack a regular citizen like the plummer. He was asked a question by Obama and he answered!! He did not seek Obama out. The Dems got upset that his answer didn't fit what they wanted him to say about Obama, and gush all over him. Therefore they attack him. It just goes to show that the Dems and Obama's people will go after ANYONE if they do not worship and adore Obama. It doesn't matter what the guys' background is or anything else. He was JUST ASKED A QUESTION AND HE ANSWERED!! Leave him alone. I will not vote for someone who will attack someone who does not respond or behave the way they want them to. And no, I am not a Republican.

    • I am hearby voting down ANY and ALL stories on Joe the Plumber, I've had enough of this crap.

Meanwhile Gammy, Joe the Plumber has nothing to do with "pulling the race card". The only people pulling any race cards are the ignorant asses worried about "the blacks taking over" and screaming things like "terrorist".

Of course we all have freedom of speech, when did anyone tell you we didn't?

But McCain was accused of the race card, just like Hillary. Obama Camp and its surragates have over and over done so. Sadly, as McCain has disavowed all such talk. Not Rev. Wright, Not Phleger, Not John Lewis, Not Obama campaign until forced to do so.

    • Nooooo,

Joe the plumber was too dumb to work out that tax is calculated on profit not turnover.

He also appears to be a too obsessed with ideology to vote in his own best interest - he would get a tax cut under Obama.

Oh and he's not a licensed plumber and he's not called Joe...

As to who cares if he owes taxes - well I guess the IRS cares - and so should you. The best way of keeping taxes low is to ensure nobody wriggles out of paying their fair share.

As to succeeding under capitalism - the best way for anybody to succeed under capitalism is for the general public to have money in their pockets to spend. That doesn't happen when wealth is overly concentrated. It can't trickle down if it's in watertight Swiss Bank accounts.

Obama's tax plans sound real glittery until you look at the long term effects. Further, when you tax the 20% or less of the people who are actually paying over 70% of the taxes, you immediately jeopardize the jobs, benefits, and opportunities of the masses including small businesses. And giving start-up small businesses any breaks is ridiculous, when in fact, they usually don't pay taxes or make profits for the first few years of their start-ups. You push away, and discourage investors from putting money into the economy, thereby inhibiting jobs creation, and hurting the middle class even more.

    • I agree, and i think liberals response to working people like Joe the plumber is very telling about how they really view those who want to succeed under capitlism.
Or is it they are just angry that Joe exposed their messiahs socialist plan as being bad for the everyday working "joe"

    • montesooma:

You need to do some research about what the candidate's tax plans ACTUALLY are. Also, this messiah talk is ridiculous.

Oh yeah, and how's all that republican capitalism working out for ya? Oh WAIT A MINUTE, we're in the worst recession since the great depression and it's GLOBAL, but somehow "liberals" are to blame? Riiiiiight.

hey delia, capitilism is not republican, it has been our economic system since the forefathers, how do you think we built this nation?
And to blame capitilism for a recesion is dishonest since it can be traced to the carter community development act, which is actually regulation, not deregulation.
It was introduced by democrats who wanted to be "fair" and let everyone buy a home. Sound familiar?
Most democrats have a socialist philosophy not capitilist, so if your goin to blame something - blame the socialist tendencies of democrats not capitilism.
