Russia, Iran and Qatar announce cartel that will control 60% of world's gas supplies

The move by the three countries, which control 60% of the world's gas reserves, was met with immediate opposition from the European commission, which fears the group could drive up prices.
Alexey Miller, chairman of Russia's Gazprom, said they were forming a "big gas troika" and warned that the era of cheap hydrocarbons had come to an end.
"We are united by the world's largest gas reserves, common strategic interests and, which is of great importance, high cooperation potential in tripartite projects," he explained. "We have agreed to hold regular - three to four times a year - meetings of the gas G3 to discuss the crucial issues of mutual interest."
Miller's comments, likely to increase pressure on the west to accelerate developments in wind and other renewable energy alternatives, followed a meeting in Tehran with Gholamhossein Nozari, Iran's petroleum minister, and Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah, Qatar's deputy prime minister and oil and energy minister.
Miller said the group was establishing a technical committee comprised of specialists and experts to discuss the implementation of joint projects embracing the entire value chain from geological exploration to marketing.
The Russians avoided the word cartel but the Iranians spelled it out clearly. "There is a demand to form this gas Opec and there is a consensus to set up gas Opec," Nozari told a news conference.

Time to lighten the nuke arsenal, pre-emptively of course.
Don't think for a minute that the following is not being contemplated by our enemies: decreased steel, fabric, fuel and production capabilities = weakness like never before!

People who are "in the know" seem to think that Iran's sanctions would completely under-cut this arrangement.
Do they control 60% of ALL KNOWN resources or just of the ones in use currently?

It would great if the three countries were like Mexico and Canada. The people of the country would benefit from the wealth the cartel will bring. This only makes their hold over true freedom stronger. The Bear is awake and stomping all over Europe.

Isnt it time to bring in some one from the past? What ever happened to Nickolai Tesla's many designs and plans? Did the government really steal them and put them under lock and key? No matter, To break up this cartel and all other cartel's all the people need to do is flood the political offices with email and force the production of Hydrogen. Every form of consumer energy can be produced with hydrogen and if water is the problem, there is so much being melted daily from the polar meltoffs to support the world and besides the end result of hydrogen fuel is water. Scientists have predicted the oceans will rise to as much as over 100 feet if the meltoffis complete, so the Hydrogen can be preduced with solar panels and any kind of water. Every piston automobile can be made to trun on hydrogen. But will our own controlling cartels force a war to find out who is the stronger and the global leaders and at the cost of millions of lives? Hydrogen power has ma long history and has been a known element since the 1600's. Hitler had Hydrogen production machines back in WWI for the small zepplins of war and into the 1930's for the Zepplins or world travel. I am surprised that they have not converted to this energy before this since they should be experts for mass production. So what will it be? War or Hydrogen?

Folks, you do not need to feel dependent on all this overseas fuel, you have friends up in Canada with an abundance of energy, I hear it's higher quality and cheaper by the kilo. But remember, use only what you need and share the rest.

so does anyone think we'll have to form stronger ties with the chinese, at least til we've kicked our oil addiction? thats about the only way we'll have any influence over russia. i remember they somewhat surprised us by not supporting russia's invasion of georgia (conflicted with their interests in tibet). or maybe this isnt the same and china isnt worried. or maybe russia wouldn't give a rat's sideways flying ass about what china thinks of it at this point. or maybe everything ive just post is me talking out of my ass?

Alcohol Can Be A Gas! by David Blume. It can also replace natural gas for heating. We have lots of land. We just need to harvest and produce biofuels. War is not the answer. I prefer my kids to live then die fighting over natural gas, oil or other things that we already have alternatives for.

War Is a Racket
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Is_a_Racket"It does not matter if the war is not real, or when it is, victory is not possible. The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous, the essential act of modern warfare is the destruction of the produce of human labor. A hierarchal society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. The war is waged by the ruling group against its subjects, and its object is not victory, but to keep the very structure of society in tact." - George Orwell, from 1984

RS57, Troubling to who? To "freedom loving" Americans? No. It's troubling TV plugged Americans who are instructed into thinking this is a problem. As great as you are think the U.S. and E.U. are, someone needs to stand against this push for one world government and the destruction of Sovereign Nation States. The U.S.A and E.U. seem to think that everything can be taken care of with sanctions and war. To starve and crush countries until they submit. All that creates is desperate and chaotic conditions. I guess Americans aren't desperate enough yet to see the BS spoon fed to them. Gas and food and energy may be at an all time high, but hey, we still got cheap technology to keep us occupied. Exactly, all the more reason to get rid of our dependence on oil. If we ever went to war with them they could now choke our supply of oil and we'd be dead in the water after a few months at the most. This is a bad situation to be in!
I'm graduating from engineering this spring and going to work for a local solar and wind company. The future looks bright for that field and I'm definitely on board with alternative energy!!

Ya, gas primarily but that's also tied to our major oil suppliers and more of a reason to expand alternative energies and stop using all fossil fuels.. or at least minimize their use so we can supply the demand with domestic sources.

Screw them.
Use solar, geothermal or stuff that is amble where you reside. It's not that hard....governments just need to ask people to do it and someone will show something that is amazing. Inventors exist....they just are needle in a haystack. But with today's technology one can call out to the needle and the information they'll get will be far worth the try.

CAN YOU SMELL A FALSE FLAG OPERATION & WAR IN THE AIR ?
* The Eurasian Corridor: Pipeline Geopolitics and the New Cold War *
The ongoing crisis in the Caucasus is intimately related to the strategic control over energy pipeline and transportation corridors. There is evidence that the Georgian attack on South Ossetia on August 7 was carefully planned. High level consultations were held with US and NATO officials in the months preceding the attacks.
The attacks on South Ossetia were carried out one week after the completion of extensive US - Georgia war games (July 15-31st, 2008). They were also preceded by high level Summit meetings held under the auspices of GUAM, a US-NATO sponsored regional military alliance.
