Russia, Iran and Qatar announce cartel that will control 60% of world's gas supplies

Time to lighten the nuke arsenal, pre-emptively of course.
Don't think for a minute that the following is not being contemplated by our enemies: decreased steel, fabric, fuel and production capabilities = weakness like never before!
The opportunity is too attractive for the borsch eating psycho to resist.

I can just see McCain starting a war with Iran now... Which will result in a really nasty conflict.. guarunteed.

One more reason for us to get as far away from gas and oil as possible, as fast as possible.

People who are "in the know" seem to think that Iran's sanctions would completely under-cut this arrangement.

Do they control 60% of ALL KNOWN resources or just of the ones in use currently?

It would great if the three countries were like Mexico and Canada. The people of the country would benefit from the wealth the cartel will bring. This only makes their hold over true freedom stronger. The Bear is awake and stomping all over Europe.

Isnt it time to bring in some one from the past? What ever happened to Nickolai Tesla's many designs and plans? Did the government really steal them and put them under lock and key? No matter, To break up this cartel and all other cartel's all the people need to do is flood the political offices with email and force the production of Hydrogen. Every form of consumer energy can be produced with hydrogen and if water is the problem, there is so much being melted daily from the polar meltoffs to support the world and besides the end result of hydrogen fuel is water. Scientists have predicted the oceans will rise to as much as over 100 feet if the meltoffis complete, so the Hydrogen can be preduced with solar panels and any kind of water. Every piston automobile can be made to trun on hydrogen. But will our own controlling cartels force a war to find out who is the stronger and the global leaders and at the cost of millions of lives? Hydrogen power has ma long history and has been a known element since the 1600's. Hitler had Hydrogen production machines back in WWI for the small zepplins of war and into the 1930's for the Zepplins or world travel. I am surprised that they have not converted to this energy before this since they should be experts for mass production. So what will it be? War or Hydrogen?

Folks, you do not need to feel dependent on all this overseas fuel, you have friends up in Canada with an abundance of energy, I hear it's higher quality and cheaper by the kilo. But remember, use only what you need and share the rest.

They can do whatever the hell they want.

We DO NOT need oil.

What we do need though, is another boogey man to be afraid of which allows the governement to do virtually anything they want.

so does anyone think we'll have to form stronger ties with the chinese, at least til we've kicked our oil addiction? thats about the only way we'll have any influence over russia. i remember they somewhat surprised us by not supporting russia's invasion of georgia (conflicted with their interests in tibet). or maybe this isnt the same and china isnt worried. or maybe russia wouldn't give a rat's sideways flying ass about what china thinks of it at this point. or maybe everything ive just post is me talking out of my ass?

All this talk about an Energy War... sounds almost like a Tom Clancey novel, doesn't it? Now picture this: if we invade Iran because of WMD, does that mean Russia will come to the defense of its ally?

sweet meat. now we can focus even more on wind, solar, algae, and the like. those guys are just trying to wring out as much money as they can before we go green. check your tire pressure and fight terrorism.

Exactly, all the more reason to get rid of our dependence on oil. If we ever went to war with them they could now choke our supply of oil and we'd be dead in the water after a few months at the most. This is a bad situation to be in!

I'm graduating from engineering this spring and going to work for a local solar and wind company. The future looks bright for that field and I'm definitely on board with alternative energy!!

Use solar, geothermal or stuff that is amble where you reside. It's not that hard....governments just need to ask people to do it and someone will show something that is amazing. Inventors exist....they just are needle in a haystack. But with today's technology one can call out to the needle and the information they'll get will be far worth the try.
