    • funny.

I am not surprised at all.

in fact, I think anyone that did not see it coming simply
could not have been paying attention.

      what?

did everyone forget that greed exists all of a sudden?

      is that really the excuse?

    • Greenspan defended his legacy at times and also acknowledged mistakes."I have been going for 40 years or more with very considerable evidence that it was working exceptionally well," he said

This rascal needs to be tarred, feathered, tried, convicted, imprisoned, and have his wealth spread among those injured by his 'mistake.' For literally four decades, there wasn't a more fervent advocate of Reaganomics than this addle-brained lummox. That the voodoo was questionable at most as an economic practice had become tragically evident before Clinton took Office. The 80s economy born of Reaganesque deregulation was half the reason the ReThugs lost the White House in 1992. (Poppy41's puking on the Japanese Prime Minister during a state dinner and the first Iraqi fiascos coupled to be the other half.) Voodooo stopped being believabel altogether on Clinton's watch, which is why we wound up with Newt's Contract with America when the ReThugs took over the legislature in 1994. Clinton wound up balancing the budget with funding intended for our health, education, and welfare, being a decent part of the reason why Hillary never got universal healthcare off the ground. Clinton consequently balanced the budget by starving and making homeless the most vulnerable of our people in the nation, forcing those people to take two and three minimum wage jobs to give the economy a sense of security. Then, after he signed every -AFTA treaty we could to export the commodity we call jobs, we came to find out that a lot of that false economic security was built on truly shady accounting practices, breeding scandals like the collapse of Arther-Anderson, Tyco, and Enron. Now this, the tanking of the GLOBAL ECONOMY. Thanks, Mr. Greenspan. Heck of a job!
