Joe the Plumber? More like Joe the Keating Family Operative

Joe the Plumber? More like Joe the Keating Family Operative

Questions: Why is Joe the Plumbers ties to Charles Keating being ignored by mainstream media? Why havent they told ordinary Americans about his ties to Charles Keating? Would Joe the Plumber get the traction if people knew about his connections to the Keating family? Do they really think Joe the Plumber is being used by John McCain by accident?

Sounds like a Karl Rove strategy to me. Done in plain sight.

I guess it's no wonder John McCain was so happy to use "Joe the Plumber" as a debate prop last night -- he's a partisan Republican who also happens to be a member of McCain's old friends, the Keating family.

From Martin Eisenstadt:

Turns out that Joe Wurzelbacher from the Toledo event is a close relative of Robert Wurzelbacher of Milford, Ohio. Who’s Robert Wurzelbacher? Only Charles Keating’s son-in-law and the former senior vice president of American Continental, the parent company of the infamous Lincoln Savings and Loan. The now retired elder Wurzelbacher is also a major contributor to Republican causes giving well over $10,000 in the last few years.

Now I guess we know why Joe is telling the press that Obama is a "socialist" and that the Obama tax plan "infuriated" him. After all, it would hit families like the Keatings and their minions the hardest.

Not to mention that Obama's economic-recovery plan would put the crimps on influence peddlers like McCain's old friends, the Keating Five.

But he sure made for a good one-day story.

    • Molly_Alana, thank you for your comment. I used the reference GI Joe because part of Plumber Joe background was military (I think). It also illustrated the fictional Joe.

From what I had read more men in uniform support Barack Obama. We need a strong military. But we should never have sent them to war in Iraq. Too many soldiers are coming back with post traumatic shock, to take it lightly. I truly think it was abuse of our troops to put them in the situation they are in.

As far as Barbie, we know about as much about Sarah Palin as we do about Barbie. She can be dressed up and she can be scripted.

      SAD! SAD! SAD!

    • So many things have been done for the past 8 years in plain sight. Mainstream media has failed to investigate many things which have proven to be misleading. They just "move along". America has turned into a "move along" society. Nothing to see here, move along, and we do?

When people bring up the things being done they are seen as conspiracy theorists, when in fact they are stating fact, not conspiracy. I think enough is enough! Its time to stop just moving along!

If John McCain is "using" a Charles Keating connection against Barack Obama, it should be known, "hes no ordinary Joe"! He is a "Joe with a mission", to discredit Barack Obama! Joe the Plumber may not be an ordinary Joe?

    • I thought they found out he didn't make that much money and wasn't even in a position to acquire the business. If he continued at his present income level, I think he actually gets a tax cut.
