15 year old Jade South was killed by her horse Jaffa, which landed on top of her after she fell off at a Pony Club rally.
Jade, who was said to be "horse mad", could not be saved despite a specialist doctor being flown to the scene of the incident in Gloucestershire.
Jade's parents were too distressed to speak to reporters.
