Eight people were arrested after authorities found the woman's body hidden under some brush, on the side of a road several miles from the remote campsite where the initiation was planned.
Investigators found weapons, several flags and six Klan robes at the campsite, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Jack Strain said in a news release.
Strain said the woman, whose identity was not released, was recruited over the Internet to participate in the ritual and then return to her home state to find other members for the white supremacist group.
But Strain said the group's leader, Raymond "Chuck" Foster, 44, shot and killed the woman Sunday after a fight broke out when she tried to leave. Foster was charged with second-degree murder and is being held without bond.
Capt. George Bonnett, a spokesman for the sheriff's department, said he didn't know what the initiation involved.
"We haven't completely sorted out if they finished the initiation," he said. "I assume that they had started it, but I don't know if they were finished."
Bonnett said he doesn't know if Foster has an attorney. He also said that in three years with the department, this was the first time he had seen a case involving the KKK.

Ill bet that the "initiation ritual" involved the lady having sex with all the guys. Like they do in street gangs. Ill bet thats why she wanted to leave (in a VERY BIG HURRY) and why they killed her.

Hmmm. Maybe...just maybe...the racist bastards discovered that she was an undercover agent or reporter of some kind who was trying to infiltrate the KKK.

Indeed, the KKK has ALWAYS been a terrorist organization...it is full of hate and venom. Thanks to Richard Nixon's 'southern strategy', the GOP has kissed up to folk like the KKK.
But ---I suppose the GOP, having already made SEVERAL Faustian bargains, had nothing left to lose.

Do you wonder if Homeland Security is focussed at all on our peculiar brand of native terrorist? Never try to kid yourself, they are still around. They are as extreme as any other terrorist organization.

The KKK is pathetic. What is worse is the ignorance of the sanctimonious people on this site who are unaware of their own history. Senator Robert Byrd, Democrat from West Virginia, is the longest serving Senator. How did he get his start in politics? The Klan. When he was running for re-election two yeas ago, the "mainstream" media never even mentioned his racist roots. There are pictures of Byrd in the pajama get up!
Question for you all---which President was a member of the KKK before being elected President? Hint, it wasn't a Republican (although they can be evil racists as well). It was the peace loving, atomic bomb dropping Harry Truman. Bush was never in the KKK, but Al Gore's father led the Senate movement against Civil Rights Legislation.

True enough. Presidents owned slaves. We should all be aware of our history. It's great that we can finally put the "America is racist" theory to rest. The fact that America overcame its slavery problem and became a functioning multiracial society is often overlooked in our desire to fault America for ever short coming.

Exposing these people (kkk) and who they are and not allowing them to hold gov. positions (sen. KKK Byrd) is the only way to stop this terrorist org.

You heard that the KKK was supporting Obama in the primaries? Did you believe it?
My Mama told me never believe anything you hear and only half of what you see with your own eyes))))
Even if any KKK kukes anounced their support for Obama in the primaries, then it was just a stunt, or perhaps a hint to welcome the chance for new provocations. The KKK doesn't support Obama.Hey everybody!
What do you think? Maybe they put that guy up to it or framed him and are threatening him with worse framing and charges if he doesn't admit. Some KKK kukes or worse(powers that be) could be interested in stirring the flames and this might well be a little part of a larger synthesized stream of negative events coming to us soon. Specifically designed synthesized streams of negative events have become the backbone of domestic psychological operations for manipulating the American public for decades now.

The KKK, no matter how they are represented at all, could NEVER manipulate me in any way. And I am part of the 'American Public.'
I may be misunderstanding you, but I think you give FAR TOO MUCH credit to the KKK in the first place. Unless someone is in the kkk, then the kkk is pretty much just a piece of shit. Bottom line.
