Hillary Clinton accepts post as Secretary of State in Obama administration

If you are worried about what one politician says about another, Don't. The reason is that a politician will say what is needed at the time, but as soon as it's said, it's forgotten. NO matter if it is Hillary and Bill slamming Obama when they were in a race as opponents its all known as politics and is forgiven unless it is advantageous to keep a grudge going for political gain. There is a reason they called him slick Willie. I don't think Bill or Hillary have any morals, nor Obama for that matter. The GOP side has taken a slide in my opinion as well as far as morals are concerned.

I think we need to do what the constitution framers suggested we do. That is when the government ceases to work, get rid of it and move it farther west and start over. We should be scouting for a new spot. For now just get ready for more taxes and more politicians reaching for your pocket book.

Once again Obama shows what a quality human being he is....GO OBAMA! Show those nay sayers what its all about!

First, I'm going to be wondering what she will be telling countries across the world about Iraq? Is she going to apologize for the atrocities committed by our troops for invading a peaceful nation? They might ask her why then did she vote for military intervention when she is such a peace loving Secretary of State.

Another think is what the heck has Bill been doing? Amassing a fortune speaking around the world. Has anyone followed this man to find out what he has been saying and will there be some conflict of interest between what Hillary talks about and what her hubby as been saying. This could destroy a lot of good will around the world.

Another problem I see is EGOs, egos and more egos. Hillary has not been the mouth-piece for any man, so far. Can she be one for Obama? The first years of the Clinton presidency, she had to be reigned in pretty hard by the party for being a co-president pushing her national health program. She then kept in the shadows with Bill's presidency, probably biting her tongue. Hillary isn't one to set by and allow someone else to do all the talking. Time will tell if she can be obedient and help instead of hindering.

Time will tell how this administration of "change" will effect the country and the people. I don't think she carries a great reputation to the table when dealing with other countries. We will see.

I cannot understand how Barack Obama would select Hillary Clinton who trashed him the way she did. I recall her saying "McCain had spent his entire political life in service to this country, and so had she, but all Barack brought to the campaign was a speech!" She, along with her husband, injected race into the campaign against Obama. As an African America I am appalled that he would select her for such a prestigious position. Had I known he was going to pick her I never would have voted for him.

Wow, that is totally awesome! I think its great that Hillary will be part of Obamas administration. She brings a lot to the table.

I didn't vote Clinton in the primaries for a damn good reason.

Let's hope unlike Madeline Albright she doesn't go on TV and say the deaths of Iraqis whose blood is on her hands as well were worth it. Although, I suspect we will continue in Afghanistan as it will now be sold to us in propaganda as the "right war" and perhaps even move this "war" into Pakistan, Iran, or other venues as Obama continues the softer version of the Bush doctrine. China, Russia, Venezuela, are already lining up to keep it all going. There will be no peace here. But that will be OK, as long as it isn't Bush doing it. Right? And as usual, the sugarcoated reporting of one of his picks makes it to tv. The most controversial ones and those where people actually give opinions instead of just sucking up will be dropped to the wayside.

It looks like Obama really is committed to putting in place a cabinet of 'rivals' - people who aren't just toeing some party line and really do want the best for the States.

Amazing that these two have put gory campaign strategy behind them and joined forces to do what they can for the US. Is this the dawn of mature politics?

This should be quite an adventure for her. I hope she enjoys the job and does it well. Her interests seem quite different from Bill's. Makes you wonder, who was making the important decisions in the Clinton presidency?
