It has been revealed that two giant horse heads, each the height of a ten storey building, will stand at the entrance to a canal link connecting the Firth of Forth with the Clyde in Glasgow.

The sculptures will be known as the Kelpies, after the mythical water horses in Scottish lochs and rivers.

The horses have been created by sculptor Andy Scott.
