They probably arrested him because he was singing out of key. Tone deaf people should be jailed if they try to sing.

Hell, it almost should be considered a complement. It's like being called the cop version of Spiderman, who's a friggin' SUPERHERO.

Cops abuse their power all the time, and most people don't fight against it because going through the beaurocracy is too expensive and time-consuming. That's why they would never harass anyone rich and powerful, just us poor, dumb, clueless people.

haha, I guess it can get pretty annoying, though I hope there were more reasons for the three months (aside from the eight months for assault and violating curfew) than just singing that and calling police ginger - seems a bit extreme otherwise..

I remember reading a while back that the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that a person can not be arrested for cursing at a police officer. Freedom of speech. Too bad he was in the U.K.

Sounds like excessive punishment to me. He deserved those sentences for violating his curfew and punching a cop, but for signing Spiderpig? C'mon.

Kindof a misleading article. It states that he was arrested for singing the song, but then says, waaaaaay down there:

"Mullen sang the song to officers on 25 July while sitting in the back of a police van after being involved in a fight in Blairgowrie, Perthshire."

So, he's in the van already because he was in a bar fight, and THEN sings the song at the cops? Funny, yeah, but not getting arrested for singing a song.

Fucking with pigs is always an interesting time. I remember when I had an old Nissan Sentra and I placed three bumper stickers on my rear bumper, "The Police Are Your Friends", a Beastie Boys sticker and a Rage Against the Machine sticker.

I got caught running a red light that just turned red and the one dumbass asked me where did I get the sticker. I was like, "Which one?" lol

Graphically reminds me of a time in high school when I got pulled over by the po-po.

As I was standing outside my car undoubtedly explaining to the officer I was most-likely not guilty of whatever he erroneously thought I was, my friend that was sitting in the passenger seat of my car started bumping F*ck the Police by N.W.A.

It sure as hell doesn't help to antagonize those looking for a reason to arrest you just because they can.
