Giftmas is the one time of the year we can set aside peace, humanity, and family values to trample one another to death in an insane post-apocalyptic horde.

"A Wal-Mart worker was killed Friday after an "out of control" throng of shoppers eager for post-Thanksgiving bargains broke down the doors at a suburban store and knocked him to the ground, police said.

At least four other people, including a woman eight months pregnant, were taken to hospitals for observation or minor injuries, and the store in Valley Stream on Long Island closed for several hours before reopening. "

    • Long Island. What a tragedy. I grieve for the people that were affected by the violence, for the people that were there and didn't care also. My heart goes out for the injured and the family of the person who died. I hope that changes the way people think there. (see comments above if you don't understand.)

    • They didn't use a defibrillator in all that time, but what was probably worse is that the CPR without breaths, won't keep a person's brain alive. The whole point of keeping the blood pumping is to distribute the O2 that was added via the breath.

      Barring tremendous internal damage, that life might have been lost by poor first emergency care.

      This black friday I dressed up like a Zombie and went to the mall.

      Why a Zombie? Like Black Friday shoppers, a zombie is a brainless creature with an insatiable hunger, and no regard for life.

      Nice metaphor. I'm hoping you actually did that and aren't just being poetic. But if you are, that's okay, too but I'd just like to know someone's out there dressed like a zombie confusing detached veblen shoppers.

      I actually DID do that.

      I wandered around with fake blood pouring down my chin, and makeup on my face, stumbling around, craving iPhones, Diamonds, abercrombie and fitch clothing, and such.

      Me and three friends did this, moaning, "Shopping! Shopping!"
