legalize it and stop the attacks on law abiding non violent citizens. our DEA is like the german nazis used to be. go around and arrest and attack citizens. adolf hitler would be proud of the DEA. Legalize it!

The belief that we should be punished for using natural plants is contrary to the Declaration of Independence.
The War on Drugs is Public Enemy #1.
We wage war in Afghanistan because they make the most poppy flowers in the world.
We give more monetary and military support to Colombia than any other nation in Central or Southern America because of their coca plants.
~~~
It is legal for a doctor to prescribe corporate manufactured T.H.C. pills that I can pick up at any of the fifteen pharmacies in my small town
but if I am caught planting a seed in my home, a pot of soil on the sidewalk, Valley Forge National Park or in the remnants of the wild natural world...
Am I a criminal? Maybe an environmental provocateur?
Can it perhaps be Patriotic to plant it?
The tax alone could be harnessed and used to create green industry (hemp by the way aka marijuanas nearly identical cousin makes 4x the amount of fuel per acre than corn, switchgrass, or any other option)
The fuel alone could create a new American Industry.
This is actually number 19 in the Energy section of change.org
Vote it up http://www.change.org/ideas/view/focus_on_hemp_for_a_source_of_clean_energy_and_...
Ctr-Alt-Del is RIGHT!
even in his name... lets, as a society, press Ctr-Alt-Del and RESET the world.
Make it equal. And BEGIN to program it with the DESIGN we envision...
Our current operating system is too buggy and slow and doesn't really work, even though we all want it to...
No amount of wishing will change it either...
And the people capable of FIXING our system don't care about the problem they created.
And they created it to fail, so it will...
Ah, i see a hint of noise in your message ruberube...
Competition was an evolutionary drive in all of us produced by our surroundings. At the time and up to this moment in time, Scarcity was thought to exist indefinitely as a incurable disease of society...
When we take away scarcity, and the evolutionary NEED for competition, our incentive and drives in life CHANGE. Thus making competition invalid and false in light of working towards truths we can all agree on and work towards...
I dont see how this is bad....I mean if marijuana was legalized, do you know many people would be freed out of jail. I mind you that a large population of marijuana drug offenses are NON-VIOLENT. We could use this for fuel, an eco-friendly material, beauty products, fuel, etc. But as American as apple pie is, I doubt the forces that be would make it legal.
Lib-fruit,
THC, the active ingredient of cannabis has
huge potential for medicine.
The major pharm. companies are not interested, as THC cannot be patented! Cannabis is like the wind or sunshine- it is easy and inexpensive to obtain…
That cant screw the public with this drug!Lib- you just dont understand the basic force of democracy. That competition is good and monopolies are the death of democratic culture! Wake up and free yourself. I dont even smoke pot and I know this. Maybe you should go pop open a brew and relax!
Even though this isn't a top problem, legalizing marijuana will solve problems worldwide. I know that all the Colombian drug trafficking organizations would dry up if their products were legal.
The REALITY of PEACE will only come into focus as we all, as a whole, begin to question everything.
Our purpose for questioning everything should be truth.
Reject all the noise, my friends, and we may all, someday, have peace...
Ah Yes... A CONCISE portrayal of truth...
Now... KNOWING that progression is HELD BACK by our very government, what to do?
This hope that, if people CARE enough to actually bring this case to the public, enough to give it fair trial and implication, is at the HEART of the issue...
So i pass the PEACE pipe; to YOU my friends.
REGARDLESS if you believe in the rights or wrongs of marijuana itself, I envision this as a step towards peace... :)
I don't know about it being the #1 issue, but it is certainly an important issue, even though many rich corporations don't want you to think so.
I am completely for the reform of our marijuana laws. Anyone who believes that marijuana laws do not need to be reformed has not done any significant research on the issue.
Legalizing marijuana for medical purposes and allowing farmers to cultivate hemp for many other useful products would cost some rich and powerful corporations a ton of money. Which is why they contribute heavily to conservative political parties, spread misinformation, anti-marijuana propaganda, and generally do everything they can to blindfold the public to the truth.
liberal . extinction
actually you are clueless .. hung up on some festering need to destroy liberalism . most anyone who is into smoking weed.. is totally savvy of the hypocritical governmental outlawing of hemp .. and totally aware of the incredible usefulness of hemp products .. now i'm not saying there are no pot smokers who care only about getting high.. or know anything about other uses of hemp.. but they are few.. and vastly outnumbered by those who preach of pot being evil.. who have never tried it.. know little of hemps history in america.. or about hemps industrial usefulness .. that use the movie reefer madness as a useful source of information .. rather than a hilarious nostalgic look back at america's propagada war on hemp.
Liberal_extinction, since one in three or four people in America develop and die of cancer, the chances of this happening to you are very high. When it does happen, you might regret having done nothing to legalize cannabis - watch the video and you'll see why.
Of course, filling privately-owned prisons with millions of people committing misdemeanors at most is very profitable, it allows for slave-work as well as supplying victims to the worst psychopathic sadists in the land, no wonder you support this.
I certainly know a great deal more about them than you ever will - and what's wrong with getting stoned with cannabis? It is certainly infinitely less harmful than alcohol and doesn't lead to aggressive and arrogant behaviour the way alcohol and other drugs do. People like you are so anti-good that it is tragic... for you mostly.
Wrong, Sam_The_Wizer...
It's been proven that many civilizations where built off of the resource of Hemp.The taxation of Marijuana and eventual legalization could be just what our economy needs to get it going again. As apposed to letting it sputter out of control.
The good thing is, is that this is too radical of an idea to actually happen. And more and more people, if they keep questioning society, will search for new ways to fix a system that isn't fixable...
Seek the truth my friends...
Liberal_Extinction:
You obviously don't understand anything about marijuana prohibition in the first place. It was created to push out commercial uses of cannabis so that top monopolies could thrive. Wiki Aslinger, DuPont, and William Randolf Hearst. Then it pushed out the use of it being a medical tool so that pharmaceuticals could be more in control, because cannabis is too easy for anyone to get or use correctly, whereas pills have to be manufactured and regulated by doctors. It also is the only non invasive method for curing MRSA, a disease that kills about the same amount of people as AIDS every year. Almost every plant has some psychotropic effect from dandilions to morning glories, but the government didn't go banning those plants did they. No they chose marijuana because of it's commercial value and continued to ban it because of the competition it has with pharmaceuticals and the plastics, energy, and agricultural markets. And who gives a fuck if I want to come home and get high everyonceinawhile, or even if I want to every night. Do you support alcohol prohibition? Because alcohol has comparative effects, and is a lot more harmful to the human body. Over 2/3's of the country support marijuana legalization in some form. If the government doesn't overturn the current federal laws soon then the American people will finally wake up and realize that we are living in a true nation of un-representation. That we elect these officials tell them what we want, and they keep a different agenda. So maybe before calling people stoners and pushing their opinions aside you should stop being so narrow minded (as your screen name tells everyone) and look things up before you open your mouth and look like an idiot on a board that already knows you are 100% wrong.
I understand enough about pot to know that the vast majority of it's supporters are NOT interested in it for health benefits and industrialization purposes. I won't deny that there are some aspects and bi products that can be produced from hemp/ marijuana but that does not mean that we need to legalize smoking it for recreational purposes. You'd probably find that more people would support it's use if if the recreational aspect of it were NOT included with attempts at legalization. I'll admit that I used it when I was younger and never once did it "enrich" or improve my quality of life. I see a lot of people comparing it to alcohol and last I checked alcohol could be enjoyed in moderation, as for pot, either you're stoned or you're not.
