Saltsman, a personal friend of conservative satirist Paul Shanklin, sent a 41-track CD along with a note to national committee members.
“I look forward to working together in the New Year,” Saltsman wrote. “Please enjoy the enclosed CD by my friend Paul Shanklin of the Rush Limbaugh Show.”
The CD, called “We Hate the USA,” lampoons liberals with such songs as “John Edwards’ Poverty Tour,” “Wright place, wrong pastor,” “Love Client #9,” “Ivory and Ebony” and “The Star Spanglish banner.”
Several of the track titles, including “Barack the Magic Negro,” are written in bold font.

Some of you are trying to explain this away to make it seem what it isn't. What it is is a blatant racial attack on a black man disguised as innocent humor. This is what it is and you know this is what it is and your attempts to excuse it are as pathetic as the people who wrote this trashy song.

Disgusting, uneducated bigots who have nothing left to criticize. Do something else with your time instead of wasting it on empty, misguided mud slinging. I can't believe this shit. Rush Limbaugh and all his pitiful acolytes need to examine their role as people in this world. And the worst part is, they could give a shit about personal growth and evolution, they'll never realize that any of this is wrong because they think what they do is right. They make it too easy to dismiss everything they say and think as fact.
Pitiful!

They also make fun of poverty as in the "John Edward's Poverty tour."
They are so greedy that they make fun of the poor to stop their idiot followers from having compassionate, humane, and real Christian feeling toward other human beings.
Do the idiots who are not rich listening to Rush not realize that they are the targets too? People can't be poor enough for these pigs. They want a economic system like Mexico where everyone in the house works just to have enough to eat. Republcons are parasites. The old white racist greedy mean hateful party. - 3 years ago

If you are not willing to accept that the Republican Party is privately racist...
then stroll down the streets of our cities and observe what eight years of Republican rule have done for the lives of people of color... who are likely getting their insufficient paychecks from white Republican bosses.
It isn't relevant or enlightening to have a white Republican pretend he is Al Sharpton complaining that our President-Elect is not "authentically black".
AUTHENTIC BLACKNESS IS A RACIST CONCEPT.
If you are going to introduce "Authenticity "
~ ((Genuineness; the quality of being genuine or not corrupted from the original.))into someone's skin color...
it is definitely not funny.
"Barack the Magic Negro lives in D.C.
The L.A. Times, they called him that
'Cause he's not authentic like me.Yeah, the guy from the L.A. paper
Said he makes guilty whites feel good
They'll vote for him, and not for me
'Cause he's not from the hood.See, real black men, like Snoop Dog,
Or me, or Farrakhan
Have talked the talk, and walked the walk.
Not come in late and won!Refrain:
Oh, Barack the Magic Negro, lives in D.C.
The L.A. Times, they called him that
'Cause he's black, but not authentically.(repeat Refrain)
Some say Barack's "articulate"
And bright and new and "clean"
The media sure loves this guy,
A white interloper's dream! But, when you vote for president,
Watch out, and don't be fooled!
Don't vote the Magic Negro in
’Cause I won’t have nothing after all these years of sacrifice
And I won’t get justice. This is about justice. This isn’t about me, it’s about justice.
It’s about buffet. I don’t have no buffet and there won’t be any church contributions,
And there’ll be no cash in the collection plate.
There ain’t gonna be no cash money, no walkin’ around money, no phoning money.
Now, Barack going to come in here and …….."I will bet the farm that if you think there is any humor in that parody, you also don't care that we have killed over one million men, women and children in Iraq for the past six years.
Or that one in four of every person incarcerated on planet Earth is an American.
Or that Bush stole two elections and is a war criminal.
The only reason I even know this piece or crap song exists is that some racist is trying to rule the R.N.C. and used it as propaganda to rally a dead party to his side.

wintermadness90 does not get it. Obama is not being made fun of. It is the archetypal myth of the "Magical Negro" that is being made fun of. The song and video actually makes fun of a type of racism
"The magical negro (sometimes called the mystical negro or magic negro) is a supporting, often mystical stock character in fiction who, by use of special insight or powers, helps the white protagonist get out of trouble. The word negro, now considered by many as archaic and offensive, is used intentionally to suggest that the archetype is a racist throwback, an update of the "Sambo" and "savage other" stereotypes.Spike Lee popularized the term, deriding the archetype of the "super-duper magical negro" in 2001 while discussing films with students at Washington State University and at Yale University."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magical_negro
Of course, the knee jerk liberalist's reaction to the song is to assume that Obama is being made fun of. Add that the song is in any way related to republicans and some people's bias prevents them for understanding the song in any way but an attack on president elect Obama. But actually, the song makes fun of the idea of the Magical negro, not Obama.

I just looked it up, while they probably didn't have racist intentions with the song, they're still poking fun of Obama by applying the archetype to him.
An Excerpt from the Magical Negro Wikipedia Page:
He sometimes fits the black stereotype, "prone to criminality and laziness."To counterbalance this, he has some sort of magical power, "rather vaguely defined but not the sort of thing one typically encounters."If they're making fun of the archetype, then why include Obama, they're certainly no praising him or being neutral. Either way you see this is blatantly offensive. They could be saying that Obama is a magic negro, and apply the stereotype to him, or they could be saying that he's a stereotypical black man trying to help people, or they could be making fun of the concept of a "magic negro." I get the point, you just don't see how it could be offensive.

Republicons like to make fun of poverty, people who work hard for a living, and people who are not white and of Western European heritage.
Oh and anyone who volunteers and does good for all of the people of his or her community, not just the very rich.
All good deeds and REAL CHRISTIAN behavior is hilarious to republicons. Why? Because they support bad deeds, greed, hate and racism so anyone who is good and does good is funny. IOW they think like gangsters and street punks, by making fun of what is good.
I suspect their time is coming to an end as the majority of sane Ameicans can now see their real colors: hate, racism and greed. - 3 years ago

Ha, ha, well, I don't actually. I listen to liberal commentators, and read liberal news. I don't feel the need to be spoon fed my own opinion. I prefer the argument from the other side. And while on first hearing this I thought it was offal (right word BTW.) After further thought I changed my mind. It's just political satire. President Obama is the President of the United States and therefore for our sake and the sake of the entire world he doesn't get a Free Pass.
His is not a Affirmative Action Presidency. That is why I as a Conservative have Hope. He is someone, hell, something, an Idea, that does not need the handling of kid gloves. He is The Real Thing.
So bring it on, (to quote a disreputable source.) Throw every single, question, slur, joke, investigation, you name it at this administration. Because if he isn't what he claims to be we sure as hell need to find out quick. Bush hasn't left us much breathing room.
So if you can't take a F**k, joke you! I believe he can under the heat that every other President has had to take. Satire is part of the office. Jesus! Negro is the scientific name of the race for god's sake. (I know of a nurse in our town who was forced to quit her job because she ask a African-American woman if her husband, who she was going to bring back to the exam room, was also negro. Seriously people, those days have got to be over. My Commander in Chief is a Black Man and I am Proud of it!
So get over, getting over. Black is the new American color and these colors don't run!
And Democrats get your head out your butts. You ain't been in charge in so long you don't believe it's real, so stop whining at step up cause in two years if you ain't done what you promised we are taking back the House and Senate.

Does anyone remember before Limbaugh got nailed for attempting to purchase narcotics how his rant went? That all drug addicts deserved the federal mandatory minimums for their "crimes", because, of course they were CRIMINALS, little better than their dealer cohorts? And then after his fluff sentencing, how he wasn't one of THOSE people; HE had and ADDICTION, and was a VICTIM.

Limbaugh and his radio friends are going to continue harassing him and showing no respect for the man the majority of our country chose to be our highest leader. Don't you guys get it? Racism is perfectly okay, as long as you call it a light-hearted political parody!
It would be easy to get angry at this, but you know what? It's not even worth it. The GOP is just hurting themselves. Let's be frank here - racists are dying out. Something will need to drastically change before the young people who embrace diversity and came out in droves to support Obama will vote Republican in any meaningful numbers. The GOP is the party of the past, and they keep proving it with this nonsense. I didn't think they could possibly keep screwing up so badly after McCain's joke of a campaign, but I guess I was wrong!

White's have nervously laughed along with black comedians for decades making living pointing out the farce of racism. Chris Rock anyone? Richard Pryor folks my age?
How many remember Richard Pryor renouncing the use of the "N" word? Youtube it, it's enlightening.
While I gotta say, it isn't the funniest thing I've ever heard by a long shot, and I reflexively cringed several times, it hit me before this was done that Barack Obama doesn't get a free pass. Not if he is the President of the United States. Not if he is the head of the most powerful nation in the world?
Is that what you want, an Affirmative Action President? Seriously?

Neither funny nor witty nor well-written - but conservatives generally have no sense of humour, are not witty, and tend to massacre the English language.

There are a plethora of knowledgeable Conservatives..... who are Pro-Life, but otherwise are Liberal. That includes all vegan and vegetarians that are true to the intent of their philosophy.
Given a shift in Republican direction with the next election cycle and Vegan, Vegetarian, and all other Pro-Life may go Independent.
