We are literally being turned into slaves by our own government

Image
pissedoffinarkansas
As of yesterday, the debt stood at nearly $10.7 trillion, of which about $4.3 trillion is owed to other government institutions, such as the Social Security trust fund. Debt held by private investors totals nearly $6.4 trillion, or a little over 40 percent of gross domestic product.

According to the most recent figures, foreign investors held about $3 trillion in U.S. debt at the end of October. China, which in October replaced Japan as the United States' largest creditor, has increased its holdings by 42 percent over the past year; Britain and the Caribbean banking countries more than doubled their holdings.

See full story at link

If this trend is allowed to continue we will be working for nothing more than to pay off our governments debt( I refuse to accept this as my debt since I was and am TOTALLY against bailing these assholes out of the mess their own greed put them in)to these foriegn entities! I,for one am not willing to accept this. Any ideas?!

your already in trouble.store lots of food and water
and lots of guns and ammo so you can keep your food
it will go nuts. gather with neighbours and freinds
support each other.this is a world wide problem.

    • At the beginning of the video a statement was made that whoever controls the money controls the World. The European Union has expressed that it would be very interested in doing just that to avoid another failure as We are experienceing now. Get ready for the Amero. It's coming soon..

    • Read Karl Polyani's The Great Transformation. This has been going on since, and before, the gold standard was eliminated. Forget about these sound bite clips of revisionist history. Take the time to read a book for shit's sake and then maybe you'll realize how big of a hell storm we are in for. It's not just our country, stupid. It's everyone now.

    • ChewWawa:

Ans specifically whom can we blame for said "hellstorm"?

For the only reason we, the people, didn't see the hailstorm is that it was intentionally hidden?

So those that have been hiding the problems and allowing them to fester can be faulted for in effect causing them?

Yup, does look like we're all in the boat together now doesn't it?

Technically working everyday is slavery, you're a slave to the money, but you have some choice of whom you work for. God knows corporations are not designed nor reputed to treat people like family except in rare cases, and those rare cases need to be the normal.

Whomever is not instilling sustainable economic designs and REASONABLE pay for the tasks performed. I'm sorry, but perhaps we should take a national vote on what "reasonable" salaries are?

      Then work backwards swiftly.

Or we can just keep bitching about whatever comes along while doing nothing, and you will keep getting what you've been getting...or in certain cases, much worse.

Now then, the key is to line up who deserves what and by what measure. Raw, unbridled greed allowed to run loose through fantastical lies? That ain't exactly working out too well at the moment.

The people might be upset about having their livelihood ripped out from underneath their clueless football watching asses. New laws on predatory capitalist behavior. From now on, they must be approved and viewed from a minimum long-term goodwill horizon.

      Grrr...who sabotaged the system?

      Don't know?

Fine then, who profited from it?

      Ah yes, the "owners".

Let's face it, we're all slaves of owners now, you can call it a job and take pride in it, or you can bitch that you aren't capable of building your own destiny from scratch. That's the beauty of America, the opportunity for us ambitious "slaves" to become our own masters. That is the element of America that should be saved and focused on, Microloans to the citizens.

Then track what they do with it as part of the deal.

Now then, how do you design a system that accounts for idiots?

Individual State taxes pay for public services (teaching, garbage work, Policing etc) federal income tax revenue goes straight to banking cartels.

The banks that failed us for the past 70 or so years.

The same banks that rob us not once but every time we use their services.

    • Are you guys finally awake from this "wonderful dream" of hope and all that shit? Great now lets put the real people in there, like say Palin when 2012 comes around because obviously when she popped into the presidential campaign that was our que to say hey john mccain should be our president but no, we picked the idiot that is going to create WWIII because he put Hilary Clinton as secretary of state... way to go you guys... way to go....

You must be out of your mind. Good luck getting Palin in the Whitehouse. I'm personally never going to vote for someone who takes such a conservative stance against women's rights or thinks that Jesus is coming back in her lifetime and the "signs are obvious"...Also I don't understand how Hilary Clinton=WWIII, if anything it's Bush who has set us up for global disrespect and hatred.

If you think hope is just a "wonderful dream" that we need to wake up from, I feel quite badly for you. I hope all of you stubborn McCain supporters will at least give Obama a chance- hell, ya gave Bush and Co 8 years of bullshit, but you can't even wait until Obama is president to start name calling?

I want to do something but there is no where to discuss it, and we can't do anything alone.

yes, there are places to discuss and act. first I'd suggest watching movies such as Zeitgeist (www.zeitgeistmovie.com) and the other two movies made by the same guy, that will probably inspire you to do some more of your own research and find out everything you need, to see if all this is really accurate and something worth pursuing.

Zeitgeist has links to their movement page, which has alot of material about what you can do, but they are also in the process of adding much much more. On that page you can talk to alot of people and discuss how to take control of this ugly situation.

      hope this helps

    • There is no perfect system. Anything man-made is inherently flawed, even ideas. The only thing that can save us is true honesty, but I'm afraid thats only a myth nowadays. Truth is, the American people want to be lied to. Its so much easier than getting off your ass and doing it yourself. So thieves can run the country as long as I dont have to be bothered with it. That way I can go drive my SUV and put a DVD on the TV so I can shut my kids up til we get to Walmart and buy the things my company used to make til it went out of business. Its all OK by me as long as I dont have to use my brain or put any effort into my government.

    • they are doing exactly that, its funny how lazy people are and just accept things as the "mommy government" gives it to them.

Federal Reserve--Private company---lets the US government take out loans, but with an interest rate, soo no matter how much money is in circulation, there can never be enough money to pay off the interest accumulated...leading to....yes....slavery. OLd news, they've been at this since the Federal Reserve was created.

      but they have friends....

      BLACKWATER---private military
"Rumsfeld called for a wholesale shift in the running of the Pentagon, supplanting the old DoD bureaucracy with a new model, one based on the private sector. Announcing this major overhaul, Rumsfeld told his audience, "I have no desire to attack the Pentagon; I want to liberate it. We need to save it from itself."----The Nation, sept 10, 2001

UNITED FRUIT CO---bush family owned, biggest distributor of food around this planet,

CARLYLE GROUP---private equity firm, industry includes Aero space and defense, Media and telecomm., healthcare, real estate, consumer retailers, and industry construction. oh and this is a Bush Sr Company.

and obviously VIACOM and all other Media Corps

they control food, military, and media, real estate, and our healthcare, we are allready thier slaves, its just going to get 20 trillion times worse if people dont wake up and do something, now stop reading this, and go, go , meditate or something.

    • Yes, you see, they were stuck on classic slavery until someone told them if they let them go, they'd still have to work - but now they had to take care of their own medical!
You pay them pennys on the dollars they create for you - and they have to feed themselves, pay their own way - and buy everything from stores you own!!

They couldn't believe their dads were so stupid not to see it.

    • How can you repay a debt of 10 trillion if there isnt even 1 trillion dollars in circulation? did anyone think of this? Where is the money coming from? It does not exist and never will because its impossible to repay it! There is no amount of money in existence today to repay it and never will because it was never intended that way.Like the title says it was design to enslave,control...pure and simple!

Maybe that was the plan all along. To chop up the economy so bad that we are forced to (basically) work fot the government, no longer recieving a paycheck, but all the while having a home. The market would then be under the control of the government (along with everything else) and things would be cheaper (like in the old days). Then we can call America our Motherland, and all will be at peace.

    • How will the government ever pay off their debt? Instead of enslaving the entire nation, couldn't they just print more money to pay it off?

And that's where it all started. A dollar today is not worth much of anything as to a dollar back in the 1950's. Printing more money would only cause the dollar value to go down, and the Value Menu's to raise their prices.

What other options could there be (while avoiding us as tax payers not being slaved to do so)? Maybe we could just start over, fix this whole money thing before it gets too bad. But then, we would be come vulnerable to basically anything that could bring down a system (sicknesses, anarchy, etc., etc.).

As the economy dips into this low valley of inflation, we all know that sooner or later the market will rise, and the dollar will regain it's value. But what should we do in between these times?

Is there some sort of system out there that can prevent all this loss of money? A system where no flaws could possibly occur? Maybe, just maybe, there is a system out there like that.

    • SuperCookieMan:

      SuperCookieMan,

Actually such a system was proposed by Henry C. K. Lui in the Asia Times online.

      http://www.atimes.com/atimes/China_Business/JL24Cb01.html

His ideas were directed to China as a partial low-inflation solution to many of their troubles, (tens of thousands of annual riots, rampant corruption, accelerating political instability, intense jealousy and hostility from without)

Mr Lui proposed RAISING the value of Chinese wages. This may seem counter-intuitive, but not for long.

Point one – locally, the Chinese public is thus made happier, feels more included and with fewer deep grievances.

Point two – internationally, with rising wages, China becomes substantially less of an economic terror to the West. The flight of investment capital eastward slows, or over time perhaps, subsides.

Point three, trade balances move closer to actually being "balanced." Global order is restored. Again governments can make long range infrastructure plans. Global business can expand.

What it all comes down to was the subject of this thread - those pesky wage differences, arbitrary costs to perform the same tasks elsewhere - 'work slavery' or however else you characterize it.

In Mr Lui's view THIS is what needs to be harmonized. But not as a kind of reverse Ponzi scheme where the benefit to be sold is the degradation of the globne where life as usual becomes a matter of fortified Green Zones surrounded by dangerous have-nots.

Wages neither in China nor here don't need to plunge downwards to meet or sink below Asia's existing poverty levels and thus turn the planet's poor against all government, but should shift upwards there to ensure, among other things, that a larger Asian middle class experiences what all other affluent nations already have seen - a steady decline in birth rate. In time this also helps relieve resource strains, reverses lack of business confidence, returns a justifiable optimism to life.

Notwithstanding miopic greed and stupidity, why no one here thought of it - escapes me.

In balance it's in everybody's interest, including China's vast bureaucracy, that China moves wages UP..

    • The Financial Crises was created by the Banks and the Federal Reserve. The Republican and Democratic Party have been at a stalemate by appearing to be going at each other. Blaming each other tit for tat for failed policies and the like. The fact is, they've failed us. Both Parties. The Fat Bastards in Politics continue to live off the American People, gleaning high Pay, great Benefits, Paid Holidays and perks they do not deserve. It's a Huge Trough and the Pigs keep feeding while Families and Business fail all around us. They prolong this inaction to enable the failed system to continue so they may continue. Now the System has only failed because they have allowed it to fail. They refuse to work together as Americans for Americans. It is deplorable and unacceptable. They protect their own interests which are obvious, and continue to lead us into a spiraling downhill progression. We have been shown that our Leadership is not willing to lay down their swords so to speak, to work for the good of the People for whom they Represent. I'm just fed up, and disillusioned. And the Generation before Me and even their parents too are fed up. We have been fed lies and deception for so long that We no longer believe our Representatives will truly work for the Peoples Benefit, only for their own. There is a lot to be learned from the Generations that preceded us. We too were hopeful and idealistic about the future. They lied to us, and made promises all the way now to our current incumbent President. Why would He be any different? If History has shown us anything it has shown us that they are all in it together. All of them! So We shall see what Barrack Obama is made of. For their sake and the sake of this new Generation that is so hopeful. Let them not dash Your Hopes as they did ours. For truly, I do believe that their intent is to enslave us. I do not listen to words anymore. I observe the actions. We shall see. I believe that it's too late.

    • First time I ever saw the words "Debt Penury" was in a book (by R.C. Padden) about the Mexica tribe.

According to the author each lower caste tribal member simply was born under an assumed mountain of debt obligation. (Here, a similar condition requires an under-insured individual accumulating hospital bills far beyond his ability to pay.)

Mr. Padden's book was called "The Hummingbird and The Hawk" and described the organization of daily life under a brutal theocratic dictatorship whose deity was unusually effete for a terrifying idol. It was a hummingbird named, 'Huitzlipochtli.'

The priesthood who proselytized the beneficial existence of this blood-consuming bird claimed it required frequent human sacrifices, in large numbers, to be appeased..Should it fail to be appeased? The world would end. What could be more simple?

That admonition, and more specifically the belief that the system merited perpetuation, ensured that no one individual could ever repay the debt assigned to him at birth - instead it would take several generations of slave labor to do so. This kept the Mexica population in perpetual poverty and fear, and gave their many enemies huge incentive to join Cortez in conquering the tribe. .

Escape? It was Forbidden. Retreat to alcohol - resulted in the imbiber being sacrificed.

Normal conditions described by the author? High incidence of alcoholism, despite the prohibition. A defiance in many instances overlooked.

Since reading Mr. Padden's book, and others about Mesoamerican cultures, when I hear contemporary politicians demanding that others make "sacrifices" to spare the abstraction we call an economy from suffering - it makes me wonder if once again, superstition, not commerce, is at work.

This film which is neither left, nor right-wing is a startling examination of government. It exposes the systematic erosion of civil liberties in America since 1913 when the Federal Reserve system was fraudulently created. Through interviews with U.S. Congressmen, a former IRS Commissioner, former IRS and FBI agents and tax attorneys and authors, Russo connects the dots between money creation, federal income tax, and the national identity card which becomes law in May 2008. This ID card will use Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips which are essentially homing devices used to track people. Russo also interviews a sympathetic Ron Paul.
