Atheist advertising goes live

"There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life" A nationwide advertising campaign aimed at persuading more people to "come out" as atheists by plastering buses with posters doubting God's existence will be launched today by Richard Dawkins.

It sure fires a counter-message to religious slogans threatening non-Christians with hell and damnation.

You could, in a way, consider atheism the reiglion of not believing in god, i mean really who decided that religion had to be a belief in god? To answer you question about agnostic, they believe that you can't provide proof of god's existence but that doesn't mean he doesn't exist.

Oh well I think I'm kinda agnositc then. Although I believe there is a god I've always had that little voice in the back of my head: "How can it be real? It seems so...I don't know...outrageous." And I can't help but have a slight doubt in it all. But then again I don't really see the point in atheisim. This might sound kinda underhanded but if I do believe in god and I'm right I have a possibility of going to Heaven and if I'm wrong oh well. Its a bit set in stone if your atheist and your wrong and if your right, what do you get? I guess I'm a bit torn. As the song goes: "A guiding star beats a spirit in the sky."

If I were Athiest The line in that song for me would be the chorus:
"I don't have faith in faith
      I don't believe in belief
      you can call me faithless
      you can call me faithless
but I still cling to hope
      and I believe in love
and thats faith enough for me
and thats faith enough for me"

      Artist: Rush
      Song: Faithless

For me atheism makes sense for a couple reasons. The main reason being that i view religion as the precursor to politics. It was the original system created to help bring people together as a society and keep them from killing/robbing/etc each other. On top of this I just feel science explains it so much better and more completely.
