A prayer specifically for those who have been made redundant has been published by the Church of England. The prayer aims to offer comfort to those who have been fired throughout the recession.

That's a nice gesture, but I'm sure the unemployed would find more comfort in more practical, less abstract forms of help and support.

Is that really a big suprise? The curch is the place you go as an adult to hear that everything is going to be all right and that God has a plan for you and that as long as you are faithful your life will be good. so when they can't fullfill that empty promise they write a song for you and call it the out of work boogie
