ALABAMA! We should have let the south have its own backward-ass country!
Just exclude South Florida where I live :)!

the photo & story portrays a child who failed to compose himself as a mature adult; surely these convictions will age him.

How about you feed the inmate food to the cops.
That'll change things real fast.

"Of COURSE it's not stealing! If these criminals wanted full meals they shouldn't have broken the law!"
^^ I'm sure that's what many people think. Until they realise the money this sheriff siphons off the food bill and into his bank account comes from the tax money paid by the citizens of Alabama, who have worked hard to pad his income.
This guy's a thief, and the worst kind to steal his money out of the mouths of the incarcerated and the pockets of honest laborers from behind a badge.

Sorry for the misspelling, but staff must have corrected it....
Anyway, being allowed to keep EXTRA money is one thing...but this guy INTENTIONALLY fed the prisoners LESS in order to keep more money...that's STEALING!!! If not, what the hell would y'all call it?

You tards RTFA!!! He did not "steal" the money! He is allowed to keep the leftover money.
WTF is an "Inmake" Maybe they don't have the same needs as an inmate.

Perhaps this is a metaphor for much more profound problems within the current human condition and society?

He may have been greedy but he did not steal as stated in the article. The article is misleading and false ... shame on Current for posting this false claim. BTW, I do not condome what he did, but he is not guilty of theft.

I posted it, don't blame "current."
It's not misleading, if you read the article you will see that a FEDERAL judge jailed him over these charges. He stole the money because he didn't spend it on sufficient meals and pocketed it instead.
"The portions, Clemon wrote, are "woefully insufficient to satisfy the normal appetites of adult males. After eating each meal served by the Jail staff, the inmates remain hungry. Some inmates complain of recurring hunger pains." Many inmates have lost weight, he said, some of them as much as 50 pounds."
