MoonLoon you are crazy and probably a fanatic. Israel has been on a bloody rampage against Arabs since its birth in 1947.

Just because the western media does report Israel’s blood thirst, it doesn't mean not responsible for hundreds of thousands of Palestinians deaths with the majority civilians….. Israel’s casualties don't even come close.

Muslim extremists murdered over 900 innocent men, women, and children in1985, alone. They set off bombs, cut throats, shot in the head and beat to death these innocent, Christians, Jews, and other Muslims. So now you supporters of the most cowardly species to ever walk the face of this earth, defend them.

Israels actions in this war (however they wish to justify them) will only serve to paint a bigger target on its back. Sad, instead of ending a conflict they have only intensified it.

Sorry to say it but the Israelis are treating the Palestinian civis with NAZI like hospitality.

there are a lot of things getting misinterpreted in american media regarding israels position - and the tactics used by hamas. (shocking, i know).

the hamas are purposely keeping civilians in military areas to cause more civillian deaths, and thus make israel look like the bad guy. actually, israel has only been targeting militant areas, and half the casualities on the palestinian side have been militant. but hamas has been only targeting whom they consider their enemy - the jews. any jews. thats TERRORISM.

so good for them for defending their country!

Thank God the deaths are NOT proportionate. An even body count means that no one is winning. The sooner the Gazan death toll hits a number that causes all righteous Gazans to arrest and detain anyone who smells of Hamas th better. Until then, fire away Israel!

When the news media reports that there have been deaths in Gaza it is almost always reported as a "Palistinian", as opposed to a "Hamas Fighter". That's how the figure of 900 is reached. How many of the dead are fighters?. How many are young men of fighting age?

On another point. I remember when a Palistinian man strapped a bomb onto a 16 year old Palistinan boy and sent him into a pizza parlour on a Friday night to kill other boys and girls, some of them Palistinians. And i heard cheers as if good had been done! Hamas tells the children of Gaza that to kill Jews is a noble cause in a sing-song Barney the dinosaur fashion. Hamas has cultivated a cult of death, and now they have it. Don't ask me to cry over them, don't even try. Hamas is reaping what it has sown.

So because hamas and it's citizens continue to lob rockets into Israel you progressives are suddenly the moral authority on what is proportional? Let's face facts here, those rockets are not simple fireworks they have the ability and the intent is there to do FAR more damage than they are. So what if they suck at rocket attacks, it's NO EXCUSE WHATSOEVER to allow them to continue to do it. If your neighbor was launching rockets that kept landing NEAR your house, children, friends, pets, family members, etc would you continue to allow them to do so or put a stop to it BEFORE someone was seriously hurt or killed? They have tried much simpler "slap on the wrist" type responses to no avail. Now palestine is getting a beatdown from the hebrew hammer and they want support from the global community because they've been caught 1 too many times with their hand in the cookie jar. Hopefully after this over they'll have learned their lesson and do their part to prevent the jihadists from continuing to put them in this predicament.

To hell with Islamic Jihad, Hizbollah, Hamas, and all the rest of those terrorists that are trying to destroy Israel. I strongly support Israel's efforts to end Hamas-led terrorism from Gaza against the Israeli people. If those that make negative comments about Israel knew the facts and history of the Mideast, certainly they wouldn't blame Israel for defending herself. Israel belongs to the Jews per G-d Almighty and it was declared a Nation in 1948. Whether its believed by the terrorist nations or not it's a fact. Across the USA Christians are joining their Jewish friends and neighbors in the fight against terrorist. It should be noted, for weeks, months, and years, we, The Friends of Israel, have witnessed Israel's incredible restraint as Hamas targeted civilian populations by firing thousands of rockets into Israel's cities and communities. When Israel left Gaza in 2005 as a goodwill gesture for peace, Hamas responded with expanded terrorism. Therefore, I unequivocally reject appeals to Israel for "proportionality", "restraint", or a cease fire", all of which I believe will only prolong Hamas-sponsored terrorism. I applaud Israel for its extraordinary acts of goodness, including facilitating the transfer of thousands of tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza and receiving Palestinians from Gaza into Israeli hospital for medical treatment. I strongly condemn Hamas for violating all standards of humane behavior, including the exploitation of its own civilians by using them as human shields and by turning schools, homes, and mosques into ammunition-storage facilities and staging points for expanded terrorism. There is no moral equivalency between Hamas terrorists who target Israeli civilians while vowing to destroy Israel, and Israel's legitimate defense of its state and its people. As a committed Christian and friend of Israel, I pray for the peace of Jerusalem and am a forthright advocate of Israel's actions to defend itself and assure the safety of its citizens. Does one really believe the UN can stop the terrorist attacks of Hamas or any of the rest of those crazy Jidadists from attacking? Don't you think they would have already, if they could have. When I hear what is being reported in the American news I am extremely frustrated. People have been saying the US wouldn't stand for it if Mexico or Canada was firing rockets at us. This is a completely different scenario! A more accurate metaphor would be if we rounded up all the Native Americans (after taking their land of course), put them in Nebraska, sealed off their borders so we could decide what/who goes in and out, and after we are tired of them shooting arrows over the wall as an act of defiance for stealing their land we send in our air force and Marines and bomb the sh*t out of them, families and all.
Now that really sounds like something I could get behind!

yet again it falls onto religion. when will people relize religion is the root of hate and mongoring, not saying banish religion but control it to a point to where people cant use it as an excuse to destroy countries. not taking sides on this war but it clearly needs to stop

The respective death tolls are unbalanced, and the global community needs to exert more pressure on a ceasefire to save the palestinian people. However the fact remains that this is just another war between two governments, not oppression of Palestinians by Israelis, as so many people seem desperate to believe, just to have something to be appaled about.

Retaliation from attacks is something most countries would do if missiles were fired at them. The number of civilan deaths is appalling, but that's war, and war happens.

It's a fair answer against threats that they would "Destroy Israel". even more if you know they are backed by Iran.

This is a ridiculous and disproportionate war.

The amount of explosives put into these rockets is lower than you might think, atleast 10 tons per. Where as the IDF uses military issue weapons which can make a standing building rubble in seconds! There is no responsible way to blow shit up, I am sorry.

The fog of war has made it impossible for these civilians to get out of the way, not to mention the fact that Hamas does use human shields..... Regardless, 900 to 13 with a little more than a quarter of those children! There is a humanitarian crises here in removing what you call their terrorist govt.

Isreal's death toll resembles the her death toll from auto accidents in a year.

Wake up kids, the IDF is here to blow what was left of your land away!

a proportional response would be for isreal to launch rockets without care for who they hit into gaza. if the response was proportional hamas would not suffer and even more civilians would be killed. the fact that isreal has chosen not to go the eye for an eye route is something im proud of. the fact that isreal is trying to do for the palastinian people what they cannot do for themselves (removing thier terrorist govt) is also a noble act.
