    • Bush's Farewell Follies

      Posted by Jeff Huber

In a parting gesture, young Mr. Bush gave us the opportunity to laugh him off the world stage, perhaps the only fitting way to celebrate the end of his tragic reign of pratfalls. On January 12, Shuckin' and jivin' and smirkin' and quirkin', Bush gave his farewell press conference. Part sulk, part self-affirmation, part psychotic outburst, his antics before the White House press corps were high farce that could have been penned by Moliere or Aristophanes.

      A Vision Of The Future
      Posted by David L Steinhardt

      Washington, DC - January 19, 2009

President George W. Bush pardoned Vice President Dick Cheney this evening for "any and all crimes he may have committed in office," before resigning the presidency this evening at 11 pm EST.

After taking the oath of office, smirking only slightly at the phrase "defend the Constitution," President Cheney immediately pardoned former President Bush, then issued additional pardons to Scooter Libby, every other political appointee of the previous eight years, all defense contractors who have served in Iraq, and any executives who supervised them.

Questions as to the possibility of the incoming Obama Administration filing federal racketeering charges against Messrs. Bush and Cheney, for the apparent quid-pro-quo collusion of the mutual pardons themselves, were referred to the Attorney General-designate, Hillary Clinton.
