I once endured an entire week trapped underneath a barrel full of anvils by carefully rationing a vial of cocaine and 2 angel dust-laced joints...

He is lucky to be alive! All that pocket change under the cushions could have rained on him like machine gun fire! I will drink to that.

This man is far too clumsy to even consider alcohol.

Alcohol is the last thing you want to drink if your stuck and don't have any water- it just dehydrates you.

so it was either death, or extreme pain in the back due to the effort needed to get out. he chose death and won. cool

but how do you get trapped under the sofa by falling on it? this story has holes... maybe his sofa did too

It's a wonder he didn't die of dehydration considering the dehydrating effect alcohol has on the human body.

reminds me of the time that i was trapped under couch for 2 days surviving on nothing but skittles and peppermint snapps. this guy is hard core

I think he survived, because two days isn't that long. The whiskey just made the wait better.

wow, I wonder if being permanently drunk for two days helped him through his ordeal. Jack Daniels should use this for their next marketing ad.

The weirdest bit of this story is that he tripped over a phone cord, landed on a couch which then landed on him. What? imagine TRYING to jump on any couch in such a way that it ends up on top of you and you're stuck. I reckon this guy got smashed for two days, needed a ridiculous story to tell his boss and it snowballed into a news item.

'survived for 2 days' you mean - wow? you mean inside? a house? really? no one dies after 2 days unless you're in the desert or freezing ice or something.
