And for a few days the story shared the news headlines with the first week of the Barack Obama presidency.

This weekend, however, the apparently heart-warming tale has begun to unravel.

Although still confined to an LA hospital bed, Miss Suleman intends to talk to two influential television hosts this week - media mogul Oprah Winfrey, and Diane Sawyer, who presents Good Morning America - it is claimed.

She is asking for up to $2m to tell her story, reports said. Her family has also apparently told agents she needs cash from deals such as nappy sponsorship. She will need up to 250 nappies per week over the next few months.

    • Children are a blessing NOT a right!

And certainly should not be used as a means of potential income.

The only way for these children to be brought up healthy will be through the very un-normal media exploitation and state provision. You and I will end up paying for this mother's self indulgence - isn't it about time planetary resource draining western society introduced enforced population control?

I feel for the children who are as yet too young to know their future fate no doubt to become estranged by a feckless mother. Poor little bastards!
