Can this be any surprise. The stereotypes are not real stereotypes. Republicans take care of the wealthy and Democrats better serve the common man. Bill Gates and Warren Buffet even support that premise.
All politics are corrupt, you know-the power of money, but the Republicans are champs. Oh, they speak of God, family, America, but brush up on your Charles Dickens, and you'll see a bunch of Uriah Heeps on the Republican side. The brainwashed will continue to support Bush, Cheney and Rove and buddies.

Yes, turnip head, Bush/Cheney/Paulson made certain they GAVE AWAY the first 350 Billion to their buddies, face it, its a fact. The big gigantic pile of dough can't even be traced.
Now, as the for the rest of it, and the big pile coming down the road, it remains to be seen. And yes, the Bush admin DID frighten the public and the congress into the initial bail out bill, of course they did. That's their only expertise, fright.

EVERY defense lawyer I have ever known wants legalization. heck, the vast majority of prosecutors that I have known want legalization.
Also, in terms of effort, most minor drug cases represent far more effort to a defense lawyer than profit. Really, minor drug cases are usually just a pain and not all that profitable. The defense lawyer upstairs from me won't even take those cases anymore unless its an existing client.

It's sort of inaccurate to attribute the bill to Bush, or a party for that matter. Democrats and Republicans, the house and senate voted that through. There are a lot of credible reports that the congress was threatened with martial law if they didn't vote for it, which adds another aspect to it... it's not cut & dry as we would like it to be.
Quit with the false dichotomy of left and right... its rich vs. poor. The banks have controlled our government since it's inception.

clownpuncher, you're right congress voted it in, seems to me it was boycotted by the republicans....but the democratic majority pushed it through ...
gee let's see what else we can blame on the last administration. ..coming from a family that profited from tobacco and oil deals and is now rackin' it in on selling carbon offsets...wait.. that was the administration before the last one...hmmmmm

Uh no, Republicans voted for that bill.
What they pretended to protest about was the oversight in it.
They removed all of the oversight and THEN passed it.
Republicans weren't against the bailout, they were against making sure there was any oversight on the bailout.
They handed Wall Street a blank check.

You morons defending Bush are the same morons who thought McCain would win, the recession started the week before the election, Iraq would be over in a week, etc, etc.
Folks, you are too stupid to speak on this subject. Lower your heads in shame at the mess that you've created and either go hide under whatever cretinous rock you came from or crack some books, read some newspapers, turn off Radio Free Berlin (aka Faux News), and travel somewhere, ANYWHERE, perhaps a foreign country.. Better yet, stay there like you promised you would if Obama won. Check the news lately ?

are you so virulent because of lack of sexual action, lack of monetary funds, lack of significant reason for life, maybe a crappy job?
have you checked the news recently? obama uses franklin raines as a his source for advice on housing policy and mortgages, wait WHAT?! the guy who made 96 million in 6 years and ran fannie mae into the ground!!?!?
Tom Daschle to a high appointment in government?!?!?! WTF???
Nancy Killefer?!?!?! she doesn't have the intelligence to pay her taxes, and obama doesn't have the intelligence to, well not pick her!
She was in the TREASURY DEPARTMENT FOR OUR LAST DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT TOO!
Obama promised to keep new legislation on the website for comments and opinions for FIVE days before signing them, in order to keep them from being rushed to congress...
Lily Ledbetter and SCHIP were signed without this, so much for a good guy huhoh and you know how bush was on vaca while katrina happened?
obama was eating a $100 a pound steak while a million people were without power in kentuckyunderstand? k, thx, bye.

to blame one man is a redonkuless mistake. how is it so difficult to see for some? we are all to blame for this entire economic crises. ignorance is not an acceptable excuse, its a lack of action that has put us here. "No one is expecting perfection between the price you pay and what you think you're getting..." ?????? demand that shit!

Nobody is blaming one man, but this article points out that one man, and a small group of others, are much more responsible for this than most. I don't think you can argue with that, but if you can I will gladly continue the discussion.

It's up to the Democratic Congress to investigate this mess. Views like clownpuncher should be all the motivation they need to seek out the truth. What were they told by people who should have know the truth? Were they lied to? Who was responsible for the lies?
If people like clownpuncher accuse them of being responsible, they should hold hearings and get to the bottom of this. The Democrats must investigate the past to get to a better tomorrow. People must be held accountable!
