    • Well i don't care that the photo leaked out. We need more people to come forward in upward positions in society to profess their true love for the PLANT!!!!!!! I think I could have worse experiences with taking Advil over a long period than smoking weed for a long period of time.

      excuse me, sir but I smoke weed that comes from Florida, California, Rhode Island, Mass. Amsterdam, hell, even the Yukon Territory in Canada; but never from Colombia. Yeah, they have weed there too, just like the rest of the world, but the drug trafficking going on and enslavement of people is coke-based. not marijuana. so actually, I will continue to enjoy my weed and also continue to not endorse cocaine :-). Wise up, marijuana does more good than bad; you don't need to enjoy it or have smoked at all to know that.

      You think? You are wrong. Most of the Drugs come from Colombia, Venezuela and Bolivia. Specially weed and cocaine. Again, if you have heard of FARC, then you now understand that they keep hostages to maintain armies away, use slaves to process the fields and the drugs as they eventually die in the process.

      You keep getting down on people for supporting cannabis, yet you fail to realize that it's your type of attitude that created prohibition AND the wealthy criminal organizations that plague the world.

      It's not the herb that's the problem, its the policy that creates worse problems than it prevents!

      the drug trafficking and enslavement you're talking about is coke-based. wise up, marijuana does more good than bad, you don't need to enjoy it or smoke it to know that. Feds bust coke smugglers, not weed smugglers from Colombia, ahaha... "weed smugglers" the only people I see smuggling weed are dumb kids trying to cross state lines in their cars. However, if marijuana was decriminalized, and furthermore legalized and taxed, there would be less criminal relations with it, the prison system wouldn't be overwhelmed with non-criminals, there wouldn't be billions of dollars being pissed away by the DEA on marijuana, the spotlight of the war on drug would be on ACTUAL Class A drugs that kill and ruin lives, it would bring in so much revenue it's ridiculous, and it would indirectly help other markets such as clothing and the newspaper/magazine companies by using hemp. So I fail to see your rationale behind why marijuana is so terrible..

      This news story sounds like something out of a comedy skit.. The way the newsman said "In that photo Phelps appears to be smoking Marijuana," is comical. The media and some no-name sheriff really want to prosecute a record-breaking Olympian for smoking grass... it's 10 different kinds of stupid. If he was smoking PCP or chronic then I'd say haul him in.. but it's just weed... who cares? Legalize and tax it and our economy would be in better shape than it is now!
