Scrubbed! CNN yanking tea party 'embarrassment'

Kylsport
Cable television news network CNN has attempted to block a video on YouTube.com that shows "tea party" protesters in Chicago confronting the network's reporter Susan Roesgen over her allegedly biased and "not fair" coverage of the event.

Members of Founding Bloggers.com were on hand to videotape the crowd's response to Roesgen's report. The reporter is seen badgering protesters on air and describing the tea party as "anti-government, anti-CNN, since this is highly promoted by the right-wing, conservative network Fox."

    • The "tea-bagging" parties were supposed to be about taxes. That was an unfortunate premise, of course, since 99% of the attendees would pay *less* in taxes under Obama's proposals than they had under *Shrub's*. Kinda takes the wind out when you're complaining about your taxes to a guy who has given you a tax cut, right?

Really, though. The deep-pocketed persons who organized, financed, and promoted this exercise from the top down cared only about rousing the rabble and manipulating honest, well-meaning Americans. And they succeeded. But not in the way they hoped, I suspect.

The embarrassingly named "tea-bagging" events conjoined diametrically opposite true-believers. How can a person who thinks Obama (sheesh, the most careful of centrists!) is either a fascist like Hitler or a communist like Stalin—let alone both fascist and communist at the same time! (Look up "cognitive dissonance," guys.)

Honest, conscientious conservatives should begin thinking for themselves, and cease being manipulated by wealthy individuals and corporations who care only about using them.

ScaryBust, I don't mean to direct this at you personally, but I can't fathom you "tea bagging" anyone, given your demeanor and bitter attitude. However, I do take issue with CNN and the others using a homosexual act so liberally on the open airwaves.

On the issue you have about this being organized, it was not, I was there. Listen to some of my live footage, just common people airing the frustration and home-made signs to voice their opinion:

For the record, this particular feature of lovemaking is plenty popular with straight couples as well as gay. Doesn't mean you're wrong to object, just that your objection should focus on the act, not the sexual orientation (straight, bi, or gay) who enjoy it.

We are already divided. However, the one issue that most middle class Republicans and Democrates agree upon is that oursourcing and insourcing of jobs is hurting America.
The well off Democrates and Republicans who are making out like bandits with the cheap slave labor in the third world, love outsourcing and insourcing.

    • Its amazing that people who will get a tax cut from Obama will buy the upper elite's whining about their taxes, that are simply going back to where they were before Bush BOUGHT their shutting up about the unnecessary war. Most were willing to accept the giant tax cut during a war to keep quite about the unnecessary nature of leaving Afghanistan and going to Iraq.
But then poor white trash in the south vote for people who make sure they stay poor, uneducated and have no future opportunities. And tell them joining a union is communist and unchristian. Dumb dumb dumb.

Akamail, I assume you want to just "MOVE ON" and forget it just so we can do it all over again? Well history not studied is history repeated.

And we are in this elephant dung pile because of GW and Dick. And we are in this economy because of GW and DIck. The lesson should be that we NEVER vote for stupid people so they can't cause disasters.

Also the Iranians might torture that journalist, or already have done so, because GW and Dick thought torture was a fine idea.

No one is going to forget how we got where we are now, so quit hoping for it. And for the last 8 years every single faux pas of the administration was blamed on Clinton. Forgot that?

The majority of Republicans are supporting continuing into Afghanistan. If they have any ideas about what to do with the Tar Baby Bush left, they should start shouting now. I wish they would come up with a solution to end it. McCain thinks we need to stay there indefinitely......so why are you ready to blame Obama? I guess its just talking points.

and Iranians would never torture anyone - they are so gentle by nature, how dare Bush waterboard terrorists to save American lives? Daniel Pert's head was also Bush's fault? Oh no - that must be Dick's. Well, Carma - I would rather go hunting with Cheney than driving with Kennedy, how's that for ya? Or go left-ball-licking with Obama, accepting books and insults from our enemies. Or apologizing for being American - I didn't give him the right to apologize for me - he can only apologize for his own idiocy and shame of being an American. But I forget - he is not an American - he is Kenyan...

    • So corporate shill CNN ( Con news network) scrubbed this. It figures. They did all they could to make sure Bush got his war. They hid demonstrations against the war and usually just said that a small number of peopole turned out.
If we had a real media we would not be heading to corporatization so fast. They do not report on the falling wages while CEOs and executives get billions for outsourcing jobs. It is to their benefit to destroy the middle class. Corporate CNN.....what a joke.

    • oh yes I miss the days the really "great" journalists and reporters. They reported the news in a dignified way and it was taboo to think about showing an opinion.

Now everyone acts like they are in the "big time" and want to be a star.

I saw this on TV and this woman was a badger alright.

    • Yes, a prime example on how the mainstream media edits the news to deliver a biased political and social point of view.

ALL media companies would better serve their own needs as well as the public's by reporting as the ole Dragnet's Jack Webb used to constantly say" Just the facts Mam, just the facts"
