These poor people in Africa have had their own "Holocaust" for decades. War, famine, disease, physical abuse, mental abuse and sexual abuse. I could go on but the sentence is already too long.
I am grateful to this generation using these wonderful tools like PCs, Twitter, Facebook and other social networks for the good of humanity instead of like some, just chasing down the next porn site.
Kudos to you all! I don't know what the answer is. With have trouble with our own kids but it pales in comparison to what these children, their parents and grandparents have endured for generations by evil men seeking guns, rape victims, anarchy and murder/neglect.
Most of our kids in America never become aware of the lives many helpless children must live to survive.
I think the problems is so HUGE, we can't get our arms around it.
Peace and love.

Does our intelligence community know about these kids? If so, who reads the reports? With all the international politics we get involved in, why wouldn't our government make an official statement condemning these human rights violations and threatening action? Why is the world and our own government more concerned about putting a caterpillar in a box with a mass murdering terrorist than the horrors that these children are experiencing. If this doesn't give clear insight to the political motives for their concerns, then we are all brainwashed to the point of no return.

~~talking about it and making people aware enough to make "rescue"statements is all well and good...but WHAT actually is being DONE about it?

I think it is cool that they are doing this. I think if people raise their voices, they can make a difference. Though, I don't see what difference there would be by having an 'A-List' celebrity there, when normal people themselves can raise awareness.
