An Italian police driver on his way back to the station after advising students on road safety managed to write off a Lamborghini worth over £130,000.

The car was one of two Lamborghinis donated to the Italian police force by the manufacturers to help them catch speeding drivers and deliver organs for transplants as quickly as possible. It tops 200mph and is driven by specially-trained police offers, one of whom, evidently, wasn't able to keep control of the car after another vehicle pulled out of a petrol station and into the oncoming Lamborghini's path.

The state-of-the-art car smashing into a row of parked cars so hard that one ended up on the police car's roof, injuring the police driver.

    • Looks like a lot of exageration here. . For a start the fake irony of the driver teaching road safety: the accident was clearly caused by another moterist. Seccondly that car is NOT a write-off, the damage is not that severe. Lastly, the care on the roof is probably there because of the shape of the crape, not just how "hard" it hit.

    • Ouch, that looks like a sore one. Although if it has been donated for the serious and very important job of organ delivery, why on earth were they doing pointless 'road safety' rubbish. With a Lambo none the less!
