It will soon be illegal for girls under 18 to have breast enhancement and other cosmetic surgery under Italian law.
More than 10,000 teenage girls had plastic surgery last year. Francesca Martini said at the ministry of welfare:
"Far too many adolescent girls are unaware of the risks with this type of surgery and it should not be used purely for fashion".

Good. Having plastic surgery is decidedly dodgy on minors. Furthermore, whats to say their breasts have stopped growing by that age? I think the parents who are willing to fund this are ridiculous and teaching by example that appearance is more important than anything else.
