BA cabin crew have been warned against wearing their distinctive uniforms in public after a stewardess was spotted wearing hers at a petrol station and was spat at.

The stewardess was on her way home from Heathrow airport when she was spotted and she was understandably upset by the incident.

Talks between BA and Unite are set to continue today.
