Sharks that attack swimmers will be hunted down, shot in the head and sawed apart until their spines are severed.
According to a report originally published by Perth Now, sharks would only be exterminated in extreme circumstances.
The reason for severing the spines, according to a WA Department of Fisheries official, is to ensure the shark is dead. A bullet to the brain is apparently no guarantee of death.

Maybe people should stop breeding and eating so much freakin' fish, then maybe the sharks would have enough to eat without going after us. :\

That method sounds so dark. Shot in the head, severed spine and then left to bleed out. Sounds like a really good way to treat a protected species.
