Showdown talks between England manager Fabio Capello and John Terry, over his alleged affair with a team mates former wife, lasted all of 12 minutes today, culminating in the player being stripped of the England captaincy.
In a statement, Capello said "After much thought I have made the decision that it will be best for me to take the captaincy away from John Terry," he went on to say "What is best for all of the England team has inspired my choice."
Terry himself issued a short statement, which read "I fully respect Fabio Capello's decision... I will continue to give everything for England."
So with the World Cup approaching this summer, England need a new leader who can march us all to glory. Who will it be?
