    • If ‘Made in Mumbai’ is anything to go by, Mumbai’s on its way up there with Tokyo, New York and London. The West may talk of loss of tradition and rise of consumerism, but the people of Mumbai seem keen to modernise. This is a city that is rapidly modernising and building vast projects such as roads, bridges and skywalks to allow the residents to get about easily.
P.S. Does anyone know how many Mumbai residents are still living at or below the poverty line?

    • Why does anyone imagine Mumbai residents would want anything less than top end shopping malls? This isn't UK celebrities bigging up slums which makes a change. The millions lifted out of poverty by India's economic growth is worth celebrating, they just need a lot more of it for the millions more still destitute.
