Happy 3rd birthday to us! Want some free stuff?
Three years ago today, after countless 6am starts and 2am finishes in a bare, windowless office, we proudly launched Current TV and Current.com in the UK and Ireland.
Since our earliest days, we've been lucky enough to enjoy some incredible support from our viewers and online community. You've pitched thousands of documentaries and short films that we've been honoured to give a home to on TV, contributed a server-busting amount of stories and comments to our site and given us some extremely helpful feedback via email, Twitter and in person at events.
To show our gratitude, we'll send some free Current goodies to the first 10 Brits to reply below with a birthday-themed missive.

no, it seems that 'the Brits' are way ahead of 'current' in the u.s.. i rec'd an e-m from current months ago, raising me to a 'level 2', and 'you will hear from us in a few weeks about 'bling', etc. never heard from them again. then, months later, i rec'd an e-m, telling me that i was now a 'level 3' with ability to 'recommend',
with instructions on how to do this. when i could not follow the instructions, as told, i sent an e-m to 'support' to ask for help...which was returned to me, and asked me to send all of these requests to a different e-m, which is still not on the site...and that there is no longer a 'recommend' feature...that the notice i got was on an auto-send. i then sent all of the e-m's back to 'current'., expressing my honest feelings: that i do not care about levels, since they are now meaningless; that i have no interest in the 'bling', swag', whatever,which is also meaningless; and asking basically what is up with the members, community, etc. i rec'd a response apologizing for the delay in delivery of level 2 bling, and informing me that there was no longer a 'recommend' feature, and would receive long overdue level 2 gifts in a couple of days. still have not heard.
again i do not want the 'swag', or levels...just the courtesy of a response.
most of the members i speak to no longer post/vote on 'news'items, since they all go to the 900-1000 area, before we have a chance to vote. but i still look to 'current' for news, and comments from others....great way to learn, but a far cry from the 'current' that we all knew and loved. sorry for the rant. - 1 year ago

Comments that were really good would get spoken by a robot voice on TV.
All the stories on the front page were voted up, not selected by the staff.
