Top Gear's Stig 'revealed'... again

F3 racing driver Ben Collins is the latest driver the papers are outing as Top Gear's mysterious Stig. In January 2009, Collins was rumoured to be the man behind the white helmet in this Current.com article and new evidence seems to add weight to the claims.
Paperwork from Collins' company Collins Autosport show he signed up with Top Gear in 2003, around the same time the world-famous 'white Stig' first appeared in screen.
Accounts filed that December reveal the firm had achieved a "cornerstone year".
They add that it was partly because of on-track success and say: "In addition, driving services were also provided for the BBC, mainly in the Top Gear Programme."
The BBC is staying quiet on the matter and Collins refused to elaborate, telling journalists who rang him: "I can't speak, I'm going into a tunnel."

I really do like the concept of the Stig, it had to be a UK based racing driver really.

BBC is suing harpercollins because the book would break the stig contract and cause an outside company to profit from the top gear brand without permission. Though harpercollins is owned by News Corp, so might be a pricey and long lawsuit. Not sure who would win this fight.
