On Sunday, in the West Bank's city of Ramallah, thousands of Palestinians took the streets to protest the recent American veto on a UN resolution which called for a condemnation of illegal Jewish settlement activity.
Demonstrators carried banners denouncing the arrogance of Washington and declaring the determination of the Palestinians not to resume peace negotiations with the 'Zionist regime' as long as settlement building would continue.
An AFP report said that crowds massed in Ramallah's Manara Square, a central roundabout in the West Bank city, waving banners and shouting slogans against the American administration.
