Ireland gets "junk status" by credit agency

Credit agency Moody's has cut Ireland's debt rating to "junk status", the third Eurozone country to receive this.

Moody's has downgraded Ireland's credit rating from BA1 to BAA3 saying that they will need another bailout by the end of 2013, but they acknoledged that so far, they met the criteria from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund. The Department of Finance spokesperson decribe the ruling as 'a disappointing development'.
