Gales from Katia sets to hit Irish and Scottish shores

Weather alerts are issued in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as severe gales from Hurricane Katia is set to hit those territories Monday morning.
In Scotland and Northern Ireland, an 'Amber Alert' weather warning is issued by the Met Office with winds expected to reach 80mph, Met Éireann has also issued a similar warning for Ireland with winds expected to reach 130 km/h. Ferry services are expected to be disrupted. The Met Office also advised for "...possibility of damage to trees and structures."
