Student Schools Bachmann on Marriage and Rights (VIDEO)

I love it when political candidates are forced to handle real questions from an informed citizen. That's just what 16-year-old Jane Schmidt did to Michele Bachmann during a campaign stop this past week when she asked the candidate what she would do to support "LGBT rights."

    • Bachman has no understand of what a RIGHT is. A right applies to all persons regardless. Therefore, is someone is homosexual and they want to get married they have a RIGHT to marry who they want, not who the law says they can.

      Further, with regards to the Department of Education, the idea is to fund the states so that they can experiment with different methods to find what is bets for their community and to coordinate standards so that all children are taught to the same level. A student in Mississippi would not get out of the 6th grade in Connecticut. That is not right. The education level spread from the top states to the bottom performers is astounding. The original idea behind the department was to help bridge that gap. RIPublicans cannot see why we should have a country that has half a brain. The more they can do to keep us that way, the better chance they have of preventing us from challenging them on things like science, finance, and health.
