Democrats attempted to suspend the rules governing permits for cameras during the hearing in order to allow Fox and ABC to continue filming, but Republicans voted down that measure. When Democrats attempted to reschedule the hearing until a later date to accomodate filming, the Republicans overruled them on that as well.
