Some also say that employers are performing credit background checks on debt-ridden applicants, thereby creating a severely truncated shortlist of desirable new hires. While this may be true in some cases, it remains uncertain how widespread this practice actually is, and its true impact on employment.

    • I don't think this will go over in small towns. That would make 80% of them not hire able! Well when it takes 500+ people putting in for a job at Walmart, lowes etc, to get only 3 or 4 people that can pass the background test as the system is now. Just think what it would be like if they change the system!
More over just think what it will be like to shop at Walmart with not many workers there. Not much on the shelf! I can tell when the workers are over worked there, I see things on the shelf where it does not belong everywhere.
