Would any nation tolerate a blockade and occupation from military force from outside it's borders?

That statement completely overlooks the fact that the Palestinians have been forced out of their homes, off of their lands and held captive by the hostile actions of Israel's leaders. What country on earth would be expected to tolerate that, and exactly what do we think the Palestinians are supposed to do....continue to retreat until they are living in the sea?
The United States spends billions on Israel's defense, but what about the Palestinians, they do not have the advantage of our money. Why are we not defending them from the wartime tactics of the Israeli government? Why are Palestinians essentially prisoners on the Gaza strip? Why has this conflict persisted for so long? Why is there never, ever and real pursuit of peace if that is what the people on both sides of this conflict really want?

Incredulous:
Just my opinion, but once the people of Gaza (and other occupied territories) figure out the true power of non-violent civil disobedience.....
That's when this whole conflict will begin to change.

I am not sure, how many times has Jordan sent soldiers into Gaza and massacred thousands of people?

King Hussein of Jordan was acting as a "mediator." His wife, Queen Rania, is very outspoken on the issue of a free Palestinian - very well educated and an excellent speaker. They've both expressed that they are more "in favor" of Abu Mazan (Mahmoud Abbas) who leads the Fatah Party (the old PLO) - at least publicly.
It's Hamas - the military arm - which is "running" Gaza (Hamas was elected in Gaza.)Interesting that the Jordanian Embassy site in the U.S. has gives DNS msg at the moment. On the news last nite (in Canada) there was quite a large story about cyber-attacks, ongoing on all relevant Countries involved (Israel, Palestine, Jordan, etc.) in the area, and in the US.
